They just are. Like bumper stickers. You could put the most benign, least-offensive slogan on a bumper sticker, and it would still be annoying to other drivers, an offense against good taste.
The fact that you essentially paid to have the dealer decals printed and affixed just makes it that much more insulting...

Even worse is those dealers that put stickers on your windows, or the ones that so proudly get some workshop kid to do a final pre-delivery wipe down with a ratty old T-shirt with properties not dissimilar to sand paper!

Good attitude - wish I had thought of this. Specially when they charge you $25 to change a turn signal bulb (that costs < $5).

I don't mind the license plate frame as long as it is black and doesn't have a dorky slogan. Where I draw the line are the decals. I tell them upfront "Put a decal on the car and the deal is off!!!"

I mostly install pre-release bits of programming platforms/SDKs. I have had the pleasure (many times over) of installing/uninstalling the .NET Framework 3.0 on my home machine w/o the luxury of Virtual PC keeping me safe (WPF stresses my box to limit as is!).
I normally don't install pre-release bits of non-dev apps. Come to think of it, I hardly use my computer for anything other than dev. Weird.

True, but that's the whole point of beta's. Test out features and repair bugs. Not to be a product that is done.

Hmm,
does a system with Pentium 4 3 Ghz Processor and 1 GB Ram count as low end system?
VS 2005 handles a lot of things hidden from the developer.
If any of these hidden things are changed, VS 2005 is veeeery fragile.
It is great when it runs.
I use databinding a lot and it hangs a lot.
Probably have to know how to use it.

Mostly I install beta software into a Virtual PC partition, unless it is higher level consumer software like MSN messenger or Windows Media player which I assume to be safer and install on my main box. (Hey, I like life with a little risk)
