Sorry, I missed your post. I hope this response is not too late.
For PERL, I've used Speller Pages[^] with success.
For ColdFusion, I've used Jazzy[^] wrapped in a Java class as described in this article[^].

Error msg that I get now running my ASPX page (With graphics stuff in created in Dreamweaver)
All was running fine. Had .NET installed. All working. Had to change the access permissions on my folders to allow IUSER_SERVER access so that my DB's will work. (WHICH they now do) BUT since I have changed my access permissions, my ASPX page just gives me this error msg. Any ideas? What would the access permissions have to do with this and how to fix it?

The background:
We have an internal order management system which is running as a web application. In the next generation of our system, I want to incorporate a WorkFlowManager subsystem. As I see it functioning -- I want this to function as an observer for state changes in specific data items. It then moves an item into the next workflow state and notify the person/group responsible for that stage of the flow.
What I need to accomplish is this:
I thought of running a component in the background on peoples workstations that would sit as a listener waiting for a message from the workflow manager. It would then show a box that a work item exists in the workflow queue for them to review and they have to respond to the request.
The issue:
I need to have a way to know that a user in a particular roll is touching the web .. it may be specifically the workflow web. I then need to check and see if my communicator is on their machine, and if not push it to them. And this is where my ASP.NET skills fall short. Any suggestions on doing this check-and-push approach ???

I'm looking to setup a forum. I'd like to hear any recommendations people have for software! I'm a good C++ developer, but my web development is very limited (I can edit HTML and modify existing code, but I've never written new code for the web), so I'm looking for something REALLY easy to setup.
So far the best I've seen are:
1)Web Wiz

I'd like a "hosted" version if possible, or for "non-hosted" I'd like to use godaddy.com if possible, as I already have a website there.

You might try looking at Telligent's community server package. there are various licences available including free to non profits

It's used by the guys at #develop and it seems to work very well.

When I try to run an update query via ASP to an Access DB, I get the error below. The insert query works fine when I run it from Access, but not ASP. I can read from the DB fine, but can't write to it.

Check that the account used by IIS has write access on the directory where the MDB file is.

I have a dataSet and I am binding the dataset to the table.The data set may have more number of rows(20) and columns(10).I want to have a scrollable grid that shows only 5 rows and 4 coulms and if the user needs to see more he has to scroll left or right.
How can make the grid scrollable to left and right.Till now what I did is that I got the data set and I bind it to the DataGrid I am seeing all the rows and columns.How to proceed further.

and the result is a for loop not working as desired and returning only the top most record but not a set of records. so could anyone tell me what i am doing wrong in here? i would like to make the code work so that it can send the newsletter to every e-mail address in the db.

When you open a recordset as forward-only, the RecordCount property can't be used to get the number of records, as there is no way of knowing the number of records until the entire recordset is read.
Just loop until objRS.EOF becomes true.
