Check that the account used by IIS has write access on the directory where the MDB file is.

Your "write access" tip led me in the right direction. Turns out "users" did not have write permission to one of the folders in the path to the database. Thanks a bunch!

hi,
I have a dataSet and I am binding the dataset to the table.The data set may have more number of rows(20) and columns(10).I want to have a scrollable grid that shows only 5 rows and 4 coulms and if the user needs to see more he has to scroll left or right.
How can make the grid scrollable to left and right.Till now what I did is that I got the data set and I bind it to the DataGrid I am seeing all the rows and columns.How to proceed further.
can any one help me in this.

and the result is a for loop not working as desired and returning only the top most record but not a set of records. so could anyone tell me what i am doing wrong in here? i would like to make the code work so that it can send the newsletter to every e-mail address in the db.

When you open a recordset as forward-only, the RecordCount property can't be used to get the number of records, as there is no way of knowing the number of records until the entire recordset is read.
Just loop until objRS.EOF becomes true.

Does anyone know of a script or tool to remove comments from two types of files:
1. ASP file with embedded Javascript & HTML
2. XSL file with embedded Javascript & HTML
So basically it's removal of
// Javascript style comments
/* Javascript style comments */
' VBScript (ASP) style comments
A good script/tool would be one that strips all source code of comments. Then another script/tool that reapplies the comments. So that means storing the comments and line numbers in another file possibly.

I'm writing a web page for a select number of users. I've used Windows authentication, and added the user ids into the allow users section of the web config.
However, I don't want to keep adding people to this everytime a new person joins the department or needs access.
I do keep a list of the users in a SQL 2000 table for other purposes, and I'd really like to be able to use this to allow any users from this table, but despite days of surfing, I'm no closer to an answer on how to do this .

I want to restrict unauthenticated users accessing my site (as I need to control who has access to it). My web.config file looks like this:

This works OK, and if the user isn't an allowed user, then the standard login screen is displayed - the standard windows 'Connect to server' screen. (I haven't got a login screen of my own.)
Other info I should have told you before (sorry, got brain drain  ), is that I'm using C# and I have anonymous access switched off in IIS, and no impersonation in the web.config.

You could utilize DotNetNuke to do something like that. I've seen people talking about various modules to support what you're looking for. In my opinion, an option like that would be best because it'd be the most flexible.

this is my query.
I have 3tables(a,b,c).
i am connecting table a with table b using columns
pinnumber(in a table) with Usernumber(in table b).
if this query is correct then only i have to compare
third table column (menuid)with second table column(accessid)
pls help me out of this problem.
