There's someone selling hullless pre-popped corn in potato chip style bags. I don't have a brand name since it's not something I buy; but one of my Aunt's has fallen in love with it since it doesn't get stuck under her dental implants.

There are lots of popcorns. A lot of them I certainly don't like.
Pre-popped popcorn is usually extremely salt, to my taste (I do not use much salt - for the third time now, my salt bag has passed the 'Best before' date. The BB date is usually three years after the date of packing, but it takes me about five years to consume a 1 kg bag, and I make a lot of my food from raw ingredients).
In my childhood, all we could buy here in Norway was pre-popped, in aluminum/plastic bags, maybe residing for months in the food store shelves. Like the discussion a few days ago about stale potato chips: A number of people my age were so appalled by it in their childhood that they have never cared to try properly prepared, still warm, popcorn.
When pop-it-yourself corn arrived in my early youth, we didn't know how to do it properly, using margarine or butter rather than oil. It usually leaves a lot of the corn black burnt, either at the edges or not popping at all. It was a youth phenomenon, you were simply required to eat it to avoid being expelled from the gang, even if you broke your teeth on the not popped ones and the black taste like it looked: Charcoal. That made even more people think of popcorn as something disgusting; only strong peer pressure made you eat it.
When I first went to the US, and saw how popcorn was being soaked in butter, I was shocked. It made me sick trying to eat it. The alternative was popcorn pressed into balls or bars glued together with loads of sugar syrup. The super-sweetness almost made me throw up.
No thanks. I don't want any of those. Give me plain, newly prepared - still not quite cold - popcorn, with just a pinch of salt. I prefer maize oil, to strengthen the maize taste (although I have heard people say it 'technically' isn't the ideal alternative). Then comes my private extra: I love to sprinkle it with a little powdered garlic and crush a few dried juniper berries over it at the end of the preparation. Not too much of either, just as a slight aroma. Other people think it so strange that I usually leave it out when having guests. If you love garlic and/or juniper, it is worth a try (but don't exaggerate; use salt sparingly, too).
So I know which popcorn I like. The rest - the greasy, or super-sweet, or super-salted - I stay off, unless I, for courtesy, are forced to take a minimal taste of. I keep it minimal.

Someone I know recently started in a sales role with a payroll software provider and was telling me about a new AI 'feature' that tracks employee's online activity to improve retention rates. Are they searching for a new job? Have they posted disparaging remarks about the company? What are their political leanings? etc.

I won't work on software like that because it's really easy to use it to abuse employees, and it will tend to want to "maximize" its goal without regard to the wellbeing of those it's tracking.
It presents me with an ethical problem I don't like the smell of.

Musk buys Code Project and promptly fires all authors then wonders why that didn't improve profits, renames all articles as authored by himself, and only VB and JavaScript articles can be posted in the future because languages like C# and TypeScript are considered too liberal. Kent can only post news about SpaceX and Tesla. Chris hitches a ride with Bob to another planet. (Apologies to the other people at Code Project that I have ignored here. You get fired and then rehired and expected to work 24/7, so bring your energy drinks and kiss your spouse and kids goodbye!)

You missed a few steps…
First Chris deletes all articles in languages other than C# and Typescript because they’re too conservative. Anybody who even thinks about complaining is called a fascist and banned. Then he hires 8000 employees that do next to nothing all day except complain about the people being banned. Kent is only allowed to post what has been previously worked out with the US DOJ.

Seriously, is there a worse email client? I wish I was joking. Even without providing any specifics, I'm wondering how many would agree with this blanket statement...
As a software developer, if this is the type of app Microsoft wants to encourage me to write, then they shouldn't be surprised that WinForms is still my target platform of choice.
I realize not every one spends a lot of time "doing email" in 2022, but still, this should be considered a go-to app in their flagship OS. It honestly feels like they're not even trying.

WLM is a work of art in comparison. I had one of my neighbors hooked on it until MS deliberately broke it in some Windows 10 update not too long ago. I'd probably reinstall it myself otherwise.
I mean, I have the full-blown Outlook that I keep to archive my email, but on my primary desktop, I just want something that's ridiculously lightweight and quick and can notify me when something new has arrived, view it, and then let me decide whether to leave it there (to be archived later in Outlook) or delete it immediately. A few months ago I pondered writing my own, leveraging MS's Graph API, but that apparently doesn't work for Hotmail - only corporate accounts.
The built-in client is barely tolerable to do just that. But the quirks are eventually gonna push me over the edge.

We got a new doggie (1.5 year old fox terrier mix) to keep the cat company (9 mos).
I kept them apart for 3 days, thinking I was doing the cat a favor.
Decided to finally ignore them and the cat is now chasing the dog, and the dog wants to hide on my lap.

That's pretty common.
I had a Great Dane, long ago and a cat. We had the cat first so the GD grew up with the cat.
The cat established territory very quickly and they got along famously.

We adopted a male greyhound (Bacchus) and then a female (Hera) in short order (the male needed a pack buddy). We already had a senior female cat (Canada).
Bacchus sniffed at the cat once, she walloped him across the snout, and he figured it out. Cat isn't nice; leave it alone.
Hera, on the other hand, was an agitator. Once or twice a week she had to nose at the cat. Canada always looked disgusted, like "Really? We're doing this again?" and then smacked Hera across the nose.
