Just when I was starting to feel like I wanted to spend time answering QA questions again: [^].
Note the listing of who closed version #1 of the post shows this member: [^]. This person is a newcomer to CodeProject with very little participation in the site.
The other two people listed as closing the post, for version #2, Tadit Dash, and Rohan Leuva, are, however, "veterans" here, and, imho, far too "quick on the trigger" to close questions, as are many other CP old-timers.
I would like to think that my over 13 years participation in this site, and my track record of quality answers to QA questions ... is respected.

Sadly, there are way too many itchy trigger fingers. I'm happy for posts to be closed if they are abusive or spam but closing due to some perceived quality issue, that I have a problem with. I don't know why we don't just try to help improve the way people ask questions.

I know how you feel, this happened to me once and then I just gave up on actively participating in Q&A, in other words I don't often write answers any more.
To me the problem is not just with the closing of badly written or duplicated questions, the problem lies with how the veterans often treat these newcomers.
There questions are being down-voted on regular basis, now I don't think the newcomers mind or care or even are aware of this, but to me this just comes off as if the Q&A is full of impatient or even hateful developers...
I don't know why most of developers participate in Q&A, but I just got a feeling that the reason is not in order to help other, it seems like its about something else...

I always report such questions because it is expected that OP atleast try something. Even guuideline says that you Google something before posting question.
As per as that post is concerned, i would have left that question if OP had some doubts. That answer can clearly be answered just by learning those concepts (Which are very very basic and not at all complex).
I've not gone against any Codeproject guidelines at all.

Perhaps you would care to remove the stick from your butt and learn a bit of empathy. How do you know that they haven't Googled? Perhaps they haven't found the right keywords - even giving them a Google link showing the keywords is a better answer than just kicking their question off. It's an arrogant approach and is one of the reasons I don't help in QA - the arrogance of the people in there who seem to be obsessed by their "expert" ranking is, quite frankly, disgusting. To my mind, this goes against the whole spirit of the site which was originally designed to be helpful and welcoming.

I completely agree with you.
I should really think @chris-maunder should take a call on such trigger happy response.
Newbie should feel welcome and should learn from community. A proper comment or reply will go a long way than nuking it,

Cool down. You are not judge or Admin.Advise someone whenever they act against Codeproject guidelines. You are free to give your opinion,not to order someone aggressively. This is community site and everyone is free to use the functionalities provided by Site Admins. Bill has expressed his opinion and let the Admins think over it. If they decide to make changes in reporting mechanism,we will follow that also. Before asking me to learn something, learn how to express something. Blaming someone for not helping in QA is not quite appropriate.

So what? The point is, advise should always be polite. And even in this topic advise was not ncessary. I report what i think should be reported. If you think something should be reported,report it. Its in noway against the guidelines. Now,if someone feels that i should follow his/her thoughts,that won't be the case. If you are member since a long time doesn't mean you respond to anyone aggressively.

Please be assured that you and Tadit both have my respect, and appreciation for your contributions. I now regret mentioning you and Tadit by name.
I think this is a structural problem in QA: some posts are so clearly "gimme code" or "homework" that they virtually "beg" to be deleted.
The terse version of what I see as the "structural" problem: number of #1 votes is a weak metric for a decision to remove the OP and all comments and solutions.
But, there are others, as in the post I responded to, where my intuition suggests there just might be someone on the other end of the question ... perhaps someone struggling to communicate in English ... who could benefit from a little guidance, or encouragement.
So, there's a subjective judgement call involved; honestly, I think I've had a long enough experience teaching and writing about programming to make that call ... of course, I will make mistakes. I'd like to think that even in my mistakes I might leave something valuable to someone else "behind me" 
The other benefit I've experienced, at times, from extending myself a bit on a dicey question is that other CP members come along and give me some feedback that teaches me something new, or causes me to re-evaluate my assumptions ... or post other answers that show techniques I've never seen before.
I know that if I see a CP MVP who has taken the time to give a thoughtful reply, I will never vote to close the question. That there is one CP MVP who not only gives "un-thoughtful" answers, but, at the same time votes the post #1 ... who I won't name ... well, I'm not going to let that distract me.
I hope you and Tadit will know that I offer my views here without any animus towards you.

Strongly agree with your point.
I mostly leave question without reporting it when i see some answers there,but in this case when i reported it your answer was not there. I respect your concern over this matter and sorry for the inconvenience.
Practically, this problem can be solved in a way that whenever there are answers Question can't be deleted. That's the only solution IMO.

In my opinion I prefer to receive some negative votes without explanation from time to time, than to have overrated contributions and messages overall just because there is people wanting to remain unknown if they downvote, so they just don't vote or give a 3 instead a 1.
Other aspect are vote-wars.
