Hy,
I have created a hyperlink in a gridview in code behind...how can i pass a variable in the hyperlink in code behind....
my code is
HyperLinkField hfield = new HyperLinkField();
hfield.HeaderText = "memberid"; hfield.NavigateUrl = "Default.aspx?query={0}" ;
hfield.DataTextField = dt.Columns[0].ToString();
GridView1.Columns.Add(hfield);
GridView1.DataSource = dt;
GridView1.DataBind();

You need to use the attributes already in place for that!

How did you tried with Global.aspx, can you please put the code of Session_Start() Method.

Take a application level variable.Increase the count by 1 on every session start and Decrease when session ends in Global.asax.

and your session mode in global.asax must be set to InProc otherwise session_end event will not call.....

You can use Application variable to keep the current viewer count. Increase the count in Session_Start event and decrease it when the session ends. ASP.NET is multithreaded so application variables are not thread safe. Make sure you always use a lock around the operations. Something like
Application.Lock();

Application["viewers"] = currentViewerCount + 1;
Application.UnLock();

Database structure is ready for the forum. actually I have develop one discussion forum by using repeater contol in asp.net, but it’s not fulfill. that’s reason behind all this things.

Most of the cool stuff in this forum is done with javascript and was here when the site was asp. There's no ASP.NET controls you 'need', I'd still use a repeater, it gives you more control.

You can do one thing,
Read the value of datagrid row at serverside then register a javascript function which takes the value as a parameter.

You can map your own extensions to IIS and let ASP.NET process all those requests. In IIS6, you can't remove the extensions. If you are using IIS7, extension-less URL-rewriting is possible.

Hi,
Iam trying to open a pdf using acrobat 9 sdk in a asp.net website.ie iam working in a webproject ,in which i need to open a pdf document,and if i a click on a particular postion in the document , i need to get the block coordinates of the particular postion(x,y,width,height).
so i came across this acrobat9 sdk ,but i dont have a clue how to work with this,kindly advice how to proceed,or is there any other way to view and annotate a pdf in my asp.net project.

You are using a wrong tool for this job. ASP.NET can't do this. PDF file is opened in the default PDF reader installed on the client machine. You can't always tell that PDF files will be opened only with acrobat reader.

I reiterate. There is no way to do this using ASP.NET. ASP.NET runs on server and user clicks on the PDF file from the client system. How are you expecting ASP.NET can handle this?
