Hai frinedz,i want to populate data from Database in hirachary manner.
i have done up to 2level. but i dont know how to add one subchild in
the child node...can u plz do this with my existing code...
or tell me where should i add the code to a sub child under the child node.
here the parent node is -modulename
child node - componentname
& subchild node- function name.
in the sqlcommand you can put any sql....for ur conviennet .later on iwill change it according to my requirment.
plz do this favour on me.

We can have two Web.config in a project.
In the first Web.config; in appSetting u have one connection and in the second Web.config u have different connection. Which connection does the project work.

1) First thing how can you put two files with the same name in a web root ?
2) Second. Why are you opting for such a method of putting connection string in two different files as you can always put any number of connection string in same file and refer then uniquely using the name.

I am not using the web.config file in the same root. First web.config will be accessessed by the login and the second web.cofig in a specified folder where the connection is for that specified folder.

Hi
Does anyone know of a control that is a texbox that contains a
dropdownlist.
I need to be able to type into the textbox, if there are any matches
in the contained dropdownlist (matching on starting characters of the
list items) they are displayed in the popped out dropdownlist and the
user can select one. If there are no matches the list won't be
displayed and the control will just capture the users typed text (to
be written to a database).
Does anyone have/know of a control like this that I can use?

Well, why would you use a validator, when you'll know before you render the page that there's no data. What are you trying to do ? A validator runs on input.

can you be a bit elaborate your problem.
OK. I am giving a solution based on my previous problem if it fits ok.
function validateGridViewData()
{
rowCount = document.getElementById("gvProducts").rows.length;

}
And pass this function to the CustomValidator. Let me know does this solve your problem.

I am using a GricView control which performs some operations on teh click of button or on clicking of a link button.
Now I have added an Update Panel but its not working, I mean I have putted the button in Update Panel.
Are some trigger is needed for the gridView?

Since I have some events related to GridView like on the click of that button I am going to fill the Grid i.e. the events are related to the GridView on the button click

I can prefer to u, when u have fill gridview with data ,please write a method for that and call with in the pre_render event.
And remove that button set to scriptmanager as Async mode button .
after that see.
