Hi All,
I have a dll that will be installed and called from clients' machines. This should upload files form these machines to a server. I don't want to upload files directly to the server location. I want to create an ASPX and put it on the server. Then the dll should contact this page and pass to it file stream. And the ASPX should recieve and save the files on the server. I don't know how to access the aspx page and make it do actions (save files) from the dll. Any ideas?

Hhmm, I´m not sure if I got you right.
The dll is on the client an uploads the file to the aspx?
So you can just post the file to the aspx:

Why do you use a dll to upload a file? Did you had a look on MTOM[^]?(Awesome article!)

Hi All,
I have a datagrid with check box in each row at first column; our requirement is looks like hot mail and yahoo mail working system, after selected mail(s) using check box user can delete mail. In the same way, we would also develop functionality for edit, delete buttons only when checked row from the datagrid.
I have started like this, whenever I click on the edit button after I selected check box(s), I need to open a popup window only for the checked rows, for this I have created a session in first page and passing the parameters to second page (Popup).

Now the problem is only few times the session is calling from main page to child (popup) page.
How to add the session to next page, whenever the edit button clicked?
But I am unable to do it. Please suggest me how to solve it. Guidance for Delete button too.

in datagrid property builder, we can add delete,update,cancel buttons etc..
but how can i insert a button and write a separate coding for that.
for example, i want to include a "Validate button" (as like "delete" button) and write coding for this validate button.
What i tried is, already i inserted a Delete button. Again i inserted the Delete button and changed the CommandName to "Validate".
But for this particular Validate button, where should i write my coding.
when i click this validate button, i would like to write an Update query.
currently i m using ASP.NET with C# (version 2003, 1.1 framework)

i am writing the following line of code to left trim the textbox value in java script asp.net source code file

The code is not trimming the left white spaces.

Now i installed vs2005,
I created one project,
If i give same like vs2003
Its giving error in webconfig file as Configuration Error:

I am trying to bind a grid in when the user click on a button. What should happen in the button is this:
I have to txt boxes - last name, first name.
When the user clicks on the button, it should look up the last name entered in the txt box, retrieve the records if there are, and bind to the grid view. However, the results are not showing in grid at all. I created a test label which does show the values entered in the boxes. Here is the code. Thanks for reading and help.

in my asp application i am using a table to display record set data.
here how can i fix the table headers and sort the table body .Also sort the table body .it also gives the results.
Here main problem was if i use both at the same time.the headers are not fixed.it also scrolls with the content.how can i rectify this.

ASP or ASP.NET ?
Either way, you need two tables, one for the header, and one inside a scrolling div for the values.

This is totally the wrong forum, this is a SQL question.
You can't, rollback is only possible within a transaction, that transaction has ended, and there's not going to be any command that works out what you did and undoes it. You'll have to work that out for yourself, or find a backup.

How to prevent entering a numeric value into a textbox using regular expression vallidator.I tried like that.But the numeric value will also be entered.I given the vallidation expression like that.Please help me.The vallidation expression given is ::ValidationExpression="^.{5,20}$".

As you've discovered, a regex validator, like all validators, doesn't work that way. It tells you if input is bad, it does not constrain it. For that, you will need to write javascript to reject keypresses that are not acceptable.

Two possibilities
1 - your changes do not build and you're looking at the old site
2 - the old page is in your browser cache. Hold CTRL and press F5 to refresh the page in your browser
Also set breakpoints to make sure your code is being run.
