Hi When i installed Vs2003,
I just create some web projects and to run that i will give
http://systemname/projectname/formname
So it will display consider page,
Now i installed vs2005,
I created one project,
If i give same like vs2003
Its giving error in webconfig file as Configuration Error:

Whats the probs?,

I am trying to bind a grid in when the user click on a button. What should happen in the button is this:
I have to txt boxes - last name, first name.
When the user clicks on the button, it should look up the last name entered in the txt box, retrieve the records if there are, and bind to the grid view. However, the results are not showing in grid at all. I created a test label which does show the values entered in the boxes. Here is the code. Thanks for reading and help.

hi
in my asp application i am using a table to display record set data.
here how can i fix the table headers and sort the table body .Also sort the table body .it also gives the results.
Here main problem was if i use both at the same time.the headers are not fixed.it also scrolls with the content.how can i rectify this.

ASP or ASP.NET ?
Either way, you need two tables, one for the header, and one inside a scrolling div for the values.

This is totally the wrong forum, this is a SQL question.
You can't, rollback is only possible within a transaction, that transaction has ended, and there's not going to be any command that works out what you did and undoes it. You'll have to work that out for yourself, or find a backup.

How to prevent entering a numeric value into a textbox using regular expression vallidator.I tried like that.But the numeric value will also be entered.I given the vallidation expression like that.Please help me.The vallidation expression given is ::ValidationExpression="^.{5,20}$".

As you've discovered, a regex validator, like all validators, doesn't work that way. It tells you if input is bad, it does not constrain it. For that, you will need to write javascript to reject keypresses that are not acceptable.

Two possibilities
1 - your changes do not build and you're looking at the old site
2 - the old page is in your browser cache. Hold CTRL and press F5 to refresh the page in your browser
Also set breakpoints to make sure your code is being run.

If this is HTML in a known format, you can read it as XML if it's XHTML, or just write regular expressions to parse the pages for the data you need.

ASP.NET has nothing to do with this, you'll need to draw the new bitmap in your C# code, and then pass it out to the webpage.
And, I recommend buying a book on ASP.NET, it seems likely to me that you really don't understand what it is, and what it does.

my project consists of several aspx pages where it is navigating to one page to another pages.but wh navigating the address bar is visble to the user and it can be editable .so how to restrict the user not to edit the address bar ..or not to do anything to the address bar content.

Disabling/Hiding browser address bar is not at all an efficient solution as user can take the URL from page info and give it directly on a fresh window. You need to write code for checking the query string value's and redirect to error pages if values are invalid.

You can hide it in a popup. But as I told earlier, it's not reliable. So always check the values before you process them. Make sure the values passes through query string is valid. If you don't want to check the values passed, encrypt them before passing. So user won't understand the data.
