I installed SQL Server 2005 in my machine couple of months ago now i dn't remember its password to login. Do i have to reinstall so i don't go through this hectic process.. Ya i am a local admin of my machine

SQL server 2005 had two login modes, "Windows Authentication mode" and "SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode". So that means that you should be able to log in with the Windows Credentials for the user you installed with. Try that and see what you come up with.

I want to compare between two dates.
One date is System Date mm/dd/yyyy format
Other one is User i/p Date in SAME FORMAT.
I want to check whether the User I/P date is greater/less/euqal than the system date.
How can I compare between them

I want to say..
I have a table that contains columns with date value(System date).
In a form a Text box (User i/p)that takes only date in a mm/dd/yyyy format
if user date will be greater/less/equal than the system date,then certain event will occur.
I want the C# code syntax that will compare those date.
i think this give u clear view what my question is??

The date comparison examples I gave before would be how you compare dates.
I'm guessing what you mean is that you want to make sure that the user enters a valid date and compare that to another date.
To do this you can implement code similar to this:

Convert userIPDate to DateTime
DateTime DateNow = DateTime.Now.Date;
return DateNow.CompareTo(userIPDate); will return -1 if DateNow is less than, 1 if greater than and 0 if equal to.

The best way I have found is to subtract one DateTime from another, creating a TimeSpan object. Then use the result of the TimeSpan object to do your testing. Hope this helps!

DateTime dt2 = DateTime.Now.AddDays(1);

i Creat BackUp DataBase by Code using C#.Net from sqlserver 2005 .
but when i wount to restart this Backup From computer device to sqlserver 2005
the problem occure (the problem is the name of mdf and ldf for the file is the same ... ).
who ican convert the name of the mdf and ldf by C#.Net Code ?

You can't, not trivially. The backup format is supported by SQL Server, there's no methods you can call to unpack it, unless it's really a zip, or unless you can control SQL Server to do it via interop.

How can i read properties of a file(microsoft office) using ifilter. I can read the text in file as there are lot of such examples but no examples where i could read property( which are on summary tab of file property) using only c# any help will be highly appreciated
