No, that's not the code that you are using. You can't name a variable "class", so that code doesn't even compile.
Show the code that you are actually using. I can't see what's wrong with the code that you are using by looking at some other code that you are not using.

If you have as condition that the value that IndexOf returns should be greater than zero, that means that if the string is found at the first position in the url, the condition will be false. Not that the url is likely to be only the page name, but you should be aware of it.

"true" is not a valid value for the display style. Use the value "block" to display a block element (e.g. a div) and the value "inline" to display an inline element (e.g. a span).
Have you verified that the css really is used on the page? You can for example add a background color or a border to some element on the page to see if it's used.
Css files are cached longer than pages, so an older version of the css file might be used. Press ctrl+F5 to reload the page and all files it uses.

I just found out the problem is caused by a stupid mistake. There is duplicated CssClass is defined, one is in Master page and is called CssHideDiv, the other is in .css file and is called CssHiddenDiv. The open widnow is not using master page, but is using CssHideDiv. This is a mistake introduced by multiple developers defining the same css class.

I am trying to get a project set up on my machine. I am getting error message (table or view doesnot exist) as none of the sql statement to the database has a schema name in front of the table name. is it possible for it to be stored somewhere at a one location???

This is a fairly common example used for AJAX books, I know AJAX in Action walks through how to do it.
If you're using ASP.NET, the ASP.NET AJAX library probably has this control in it.

no not really. what you describe is what you'll usually find but it is actually possible to have more than one service within one wsdl file!

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Based on the spec at http://www.w3.org/TR/wsdl#_Toc492291092, it seems like I can't safely make that assumption.
Have you ever had to deal with the case of some web service provider putting more than one service into the same WSDL file? There's a lot that a provider can do (while still following the specs) to make the consumer's job a nightmare, but so far, I haven't had to deal with it yet.

Well yeah I had to deal with that several times but never had a problem with that.. Look at that simple code written in vbscript

there you can see that even when you use MSSOAP you're able to pass the name of the service, so no big deal unless you're using a client library that doesn't support passing the name of the service... I have worked with a lot of different soap clients and never seen one that doesn't allow me to pass the servicename...
Where exactly do you see the problem?

I'm working on a .NET front end to an ancient legacy back end, and I'm having to automatically generate legacy data structures based on the WSDL file.
It's kind of like me having to write a utility like Microsoft's WSDL.exe for an archaic system with no support for 64-bit numbers and very limited support for any sort of floating point numbers so that semi-technical business analyst users of the system can easily consume web services without using .NET (or any other modern, convenient tool) in a way that looks and feels easier than right-clicking on "references" and clicking "Add web reference".
There's a large list of things that are likely to go wrong, and I'm working on a solution that will get things done and make everyone involved happy.

I have a simple question just to clear my concept:
When we issue a request to say http://www.example.com/ by using an HttpWebRequest object and then again send another request to the same site but different page http://www.example.com/page.html then does windows xp maintained a DNS cache for these requests means whether windows again resolve the domain name into an IP or just use its DNS Cache to get the job done or this is just for Windows and no support in .NET?

Windows has a cache for DNS lookups, browsers generally have their own internal caches as well, and of course there are turtles caches all the way down - the whole DNS system is essentially built on the idea of distributed caching.
