hi,
i designed a login page in asp.net with C#, in that i want to save the username and password in the local computer,if the user select the remember me in the computer checkbox means, the username and password must save in that computer.
plz help me.

Take a checkbox in the login page i had used Logincontrol of asp.net2.0
CheckBox chkBox = (CheckBox)Login1.FindControl("RememberMe");

Getting after Cookie created u write the code in page load event....
if (Request.Cookies["myCookie"] != null) //Cookie Exists??

Login1.UserName = user; //Write the username onto login username textbox
}

Hi,
I have a webform where i have a text box and input type=file control.
Now when i select a file from the browse button the path is visible to us at the same the name of the file should be displayed in the other textbox present in the form.
How to achieve this? The question in which event i should extract the name of the file from the path available and assign to the textbox?

Hi
There is the requirement of autometic software updation process. We need a method where the admin will check for updates with a button in the GUI, and the system will self-extract and install on it's own. We're going to get many customers on our project, and need automated processes for this.
Please give the idea how it is possible both for Window and Web based application. We are using .NET as well as Delphi application.

Dear all,
I have developed a custom httphandler.But when i register this custom httphandler with any of my applications the controls are not getting rendered. i think it is because only one httphandler can process a web request at a time and the default asp.net httphandler is not processing the request. is there any way to get these two handlers process the request. how can i get the controls rendered even i use a custom httphandler. hope you all got my point. awating reply eagerly

hi,
i have set of file paths from client machine, to be uploaded to my upload folder in my application.
i add more than one file to listbox.
when i click save button all files to be uploaded.
i know oploading using htmlinput file.

but there also it using multiple htmlinputfiles for multple files
but here in my requirement i do not have htmlinputfile i have fromfilepath
and tofilepath(in my machine)
i have to upload from fromfilepath to tofilepath

You can use FileInfo class for this.
