Hi
There is the requirement of autometic software updation process. We need a method where the admin will check for updates with a button in the GUI, and the system will self-extract and install on it's own. We're going to get many customers on our project, and need automated processes for this.
Please give the idea how it is possible both for Window and Web based application. We are using .NET as well as Delphi application.

Dear all,
I have developed a custom httphandler.But when i register this custom httphandler with any of my applications the controls are not getting rendered. i think it is because only one httphandler can process a web request at a time and the default asp.net httphandler is not processing the request. is there any way to get these two handlers process the request. how can i get the controls rendered even i use a custom httphandler. hope you all got my point. awating reply eagerly

hi,
i have set of file paths from client machine, to be uploaded to my upload folder in my application.
i add more than one file to listbox.
when i click save button all files to be uploaded.
i know oploading using htmlinput file.
eagerly waitng for ur solutions...

in my senario, i get the file path from list box and i want the file to upload to my machine

but there also it using multiple htmlinputfiles for multple files
but here in my requirement i do not have htmlinputfile i have fromfilepath
and tofilepath(in my machine)
i have to upload from fromfilepath to tofilepath

You can use FileInfo class for this.
FileInfo fInfo = new FileInfo(path);
if(fInfo.Exists)

fInfo.CopyTo( destfilename );
}

Hi,
In my ASP.NET website, I used a stored procedure to retrieve some records which has more than one records. In stored procedure I do
SELECT @taskid=taskid, @taskdescp=taskdescp
FROM tb_ticket_task
WHERE tickid=@tickid
But this would return only one record, does stored procedure return any record set which I have been trying to find from the internet but couldn't.
If stored procedure cannot return record set, any alternative I can use using C# in ASP.Net?

Check whether for the particular @tickid are there multiple rows in the tb_ticket_task table.
Hope, as the result is stored in variables it is returning only the last value.
try using select query with only columns i.e.
SELECT taskid, taskdescp FROM tb_ticket_task WHERE tickid=@tickid

Create a function in SQL Server with return type as table.

Hi KP,
it works and I should have knew it, hehe.
I used myCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() instead of myCommand.ExecuteReader() which explain why I could not get all the records.
Then I do while (reader.read()) and assign all I got into an ListItem then to a PlaceHolder. All the data successfully retrieved.
