[I posted this in the "Visual C++" group by mistake. Apologies if you've already read it there.]
I recently had a bit of an issue where I was looking for a string tokenizer component. I posted on c.l.c.m, and was informed that STLSoft had one called "string_tokeniser" (note spelling). This both amused me and irritated me cos I use STLSoft and had done a search (for "tokenizer") and found nothing.
My experience of STLSoft over the last 2-3 years is that the code's great but the docs suck. So I posted on their newsgroup, complaining about the yawning gap between the quality of the code and the docs, and also asked why the author(s) doesn't post to Code Project.
It was good that I got a swift reply, but like a bad lawyer who doesn't know the answer to the question (s)he's asked, I got snapped on my own challenge, as Matt Wilson from STLSoft asked if I would consider posting to CP. So, I've created a new account - forgot my old details :$ - and will have a go at putting my size 12 where mt mouth is.
So, I was wondering whether anyone in CP already used STLSoft (http://stlsoft.org/[^]), and whether they'd had any experiences - good or bad - that might tallie with mine, as a good place to start.

Have you looked at Boost[^] - Specifically the tokenizer[^] class. Any time I'm looking for something for C++ I first see if STL can do it then I check Boost.

Hello,
Am looking for something that allows me to manipulate displayed text. This is what I am doing
1.To the dialog, I add a Static Text
2.Chage the ID to IDC_xyz
3.Add a member variable for this IDC
4.Display text using this member variable
Now what I want to do is manipulate the font and color so that it looks more colorful or bigger!! But I cant seem to find anything. I had a look at CCreditsCtrl but it throws a Run-Time error. Since I am a newbie at this,was hoping someone could help me out.

Ok now I know I am going to make a complete fool of myself.
I had a look at CLabel .The problem is that the Static Text has to be mentioned before initialisation itself on the Dialog Box. I dont want tht. Basically I am writing an edcational program so I want to display dynamically generated text and it is the same text that I want to modify.

Ok, I figured out how to use CLabel for my program. However I dont quite know how to use the SetLoadCursor(LoadCursor.....).
I keep getting c2664(if I remember correctly) which says that it cannot convert parameter 2 fm int to .....
The thing is that I add the hand.cur to the Resource under the Cursor resource and then pass it as the 2nd parameter. .
Am i doing something wrong?

Guys,
I was assigned to convert an existing foxpro application into vb6. There's a module there in foxpro source code that will automatically create an index (cdx) on tables that has no index. The foxpro code goes something like this..
INDEX ON ALLTRIM(Prefix) + ALLTRIM(Rec_No) TAG PREREC OF TableName.CDX
I've tried and researched all posible solution to convert this code into ado and vb6.
Can anyone out there help me?

Dear all,
i have developed a dll using C# & Visual Studio 2002. I wants to use this dll in win32 applications, developed using pascal & Delphi. Is it possible. When i tried, i got EAccessViolation exception while calling the functions of the dll. Kindly suggest me the steps for the same.
Is it possible to use a COM+ object in win32 application? My requirement is as follows..
When i install the application in a target PC, witout any manual registration of the Component, the application must work properly. Means, once we run the setup of the application, it must take care of all the issues.

Hello to all out there. I need some help in referance to the title above. I'm haveing some difficultly in accessing the partition table of the harddisk. This question os in referance to a course i'm studying called System progamming. Low-level access to the system's hardware. And on other question is that after changing the partition sizes i want the changes to take effect after I restart the computer. How do I toggle an automatic reboot? Please if Lallous can help me I'd be very obliged. I read his profile and I hope that is maybe up your line. I'll be very thankful to anyone who replies. Thanks alot.
