Hi
I have created a crystal report using c# from a xml file .
Now what I need is that
I would like you to create the same report that you I have just finished as a screen program. The screen should look exactly the same as the report does, created from the same xml file. Then there should be a print button on the screen which when clicked should print out the screen.
please can anyone help me to do this.

Why not just host the Crystal Report Viewer control. It does everything you need, displays the report on screen and lets you print it or export it to a third-party application.
Other than that, you could host an IE browser control and use XSLT to transform your xml file into html.

i am developing a term project of sending sms from web to mobile. i live in pakistan. i want to send message using publically available webservice for example "webservice.tiscali.com" but when i put this link in my project to run this webservice i do'nt work.i want a webserive which send message in pakistan and also worldwide. one pakistan mobile company name is mobilink which is internationl mobile company.

Try the one listed in webservicex.com. It didn't work 100%, but worked reasonably for a free service (atleast here in India).

Hi,
I'm trying to call the Matlab engine API from C# in an ASP.net web application. To start with, I built a simple C# console app (see below), based on www.codeproject.com/samples/matlabeng.asp and it works fine.
But when I try the same thing in an ASP.net web application (I try and initialise the engine in the Application_Start method in the global assembly), I can't seem to open a connection to the Matlab engine. The engine handle after the engOpen() call is still null.
I'd welcome any suggestions for things to try.

i seem to be having problems and can't find anywhere which explains this situation well. basically i have a datalist where currently the user can change the first name of the "member" so when they click on edit the textbox comes up to handle that. now i'm stuck on the update portion. heres what i have, i think i'm way off... help!

Not very pretty but as was pointed out, it works. If you can't afford VS.NET or don't want to buy it may I humbly suggest Sharp Develop[^]. It's a free .NET development enviroment. I haven't used version 1 or whatever they are up to now but I did use it back in the .6 or .5 days and it was pretty good.
Just a suggestion and it is free (both the suggestion and the app).

You might try Mono, or the C# plugin for Eclipse, these are free and pretty powerful.

Hi Dear, You can use a lot of namespaces if you want, but you must note that if there are two classes with the same name in two namespaces, You must write full address of your classs in your source code:
For example:
Suppose that you have two class with the name of Class1 in two namespaces (namespace1, namespace2) so if you want to use these class in your source code, You must write:

public void SomeFunction()

namespace1.Class1 object1 = ...;
namespace2.Class1 object2 = ...;
}
}

Does anyone know how i would retrieve stored images from my access
database(I've stored them as OLE objects) and then bind the retrieved image
to an Image Control?
Also, How would i retrieve an image from a specific row using the
SelectedIndexChanged event?...I'm thinking that i need to use some sort of
array.

It's generally better to store the path to an image file in the database because it's faster to access and causes less of a burden on the database. This is especially important for Access databases that are file-based and where space isn't reclaimed as efficiently as server-based RDBMS's.
If you must store the image in the database, then you declare a binary field type in the database. To retrieve it, you would code something similar to the following:

I would like to generate a random number between 1 and 20. My code does not seem to start at 1 as I expect. I suspect that the code I wrote might either start with a zero or might hit 21, since I get an error message. Would appreciate corrections to my code with different approaches.

The Random instance should be seeded as well, to get a truly random sequence ( or as close as you could hope, obviously :P )
yes, if you get a number from 0 to 20 and add one, you will get a range of 1-21. Try maybe something like this:

int randonNumber = (int)rnd.Next(1, 20);
