I think I already complained about this when writing my last article (which is quite a while ago).
When I use formatting to write a code block when writing an article the cursor just jumps randomly to other places in the code block (always in the same line I think, and mostly the beginning of the line of right after a space or tab).
So wanting to write the following sentence:

This is just an example

Could easily result in the following:

st an pleexamis juThis

It's quite impossible to write anything in those code blocks!
Of course the workaround is to write it in other places and then copy/paste it, but why can't I just stay in the article submission editor...

Other than that it seems to insert random spaces at the end of your cursor or after a new line.

Oops, Chrome. Hope you get this fixed. It's really annoying.

I am currently working in IE and it is even worse! When I want to type in a code block it selects the code block as a whole. When I double click I am able to type, but the cursor really goes in all directions...
What's even worse is that I can't even type regular text. The editor is slow and inserts random spaces like crazy! Chrome only inserts random spaces at the end of a line when you move to another line. IE just inserts them while typing. I just typed 'T h e ' and was not able to remove to characters by using backspace. Only when I kept my finger on backspace for a few seconds was I able to remove all at once.

FireFox actually seems to work best out of Chrome, IE and FireFox. The cursor still moves around in the code blocks, but random spaces are not inserted (or so it seems). I'll continue working in FF for now. I was getting a little tired of Chrome anyway Wink | ;)

Try now. You may need to do a Ctrl+F5 to force the scripts to reload.

Looking much better! Here is my latest attempt at writing in a code block (in Chrome).

"So this is a test, seems to work well...
Wow, that is gre at. "

Those spaces in and after "great" were inserted automatically.
Other than that the cursor did not move back to the beginning of the line or code block... Except when I wanted to copy/paste this and I had this text selected and suddenly it also selected the line above these ones (which I did not want to copy).
At least this should be workable.

There is something wrong with the LINQ discussion forum.

When I click Disussions / General programming / LINQ, I see a crosslinked post in the discussion named "Data check in query". Also the list of discussions seems to be incomplete and quite short. With following link I can see much more discussions: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4711722/Re-include-nested-objects-property.aspx[^]

Can you confirm this, or is it just my browsing settings? I use IE10 and Firefox 18.0, with same results

Check the Date filter. Set it to "all" and you'll see all messages.

Not sure what you mean by a crosslinked post.

The date filter works as you wrote, I didn't notice this.

By cross-linked I mean that I see an apparently unrelated reply for the "Data check in query" post, named "Re: Include nested object's property?". When I display the thread for that reply, it shows the correct thread. This is what I see:

search filter checkboxes are a bit resistant to clicks

I just noticed a problem with the site search. The predefined filter checkboxes for the document tipe (Articles, Technical Blogs, etc.) aren't working the way one (or I Wink | ;)

) would expect them to do. To deselect one of these I have to click them twice. (each click causing a full page reload)

Browser: Google Chrome (Version 31.0.1650.57 m)

These are the steps where I can replicate the problem:
1. Open the search page: http://www.codeproject.com/search.aspx[^]
2. Select a checkbox on the left side (e.g. "Tips & Tricks")
2.a. Page reloads with the checkbox checked. (Url in address bar: http://www.codeproject.com/search.aspx?doctypeid=3)
3. Deselect the checkbox again
3.a Page reloads with the checkbox still checked. (Url in address bar: http://www.codeproject.com/search.aspx?doctypeid=3)
4. Deselect the checkbox again
4.a Page reloads with the checkbox unchecked (Url in address bar: http://www.codeproject.com/search.aspx[^])

Usually not so much a problem as "Everything" is checked and you can check the other values just fine.
But it's a bit of a nuisance when you search from the home page and the following tags get preselected: Articles, Technical Blogs, Tips & Tricks, Reference Articles, Videos, Training Courses, Research Library. And you have to click on each checkbox twice to make them disappear, resulting in more than 10 full page refreshes.

Not a good idea.!!! because it will take us very loaded + social networking stuff then a professional & programming related chat discussion.!!!

I could support it only when it's allow for programming related chat only.( and that is already done by quick answer forum. ) Thumbs Up | :thumbsup:
