basically I see two options:
1. subclass TextBox and overide WndProc(ref Message m)
2. catch TextChanged event and check if the textbox's text is equal to the clipboard's content. but this might get you in trouble, if (as I assume) these two textboxes should contain the same (e.g. password/email confirmation).

I am creating one windows application using Asp.Net 2005 with C#. I have one Label control and one button control on the Form. I am having one Class in my solution too.
I am creating the object of my class in the button_click event and calling the function ChangeLabel() as shown below.
private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Class2 c2 = new Class2();
c2.ChangeLabel();
}
Now in that ChangeLabel() function I am changing the text of the Label control but changed text is not reflecting on the form.
Actualy I do not want to send the label reference like c2.ChangeLabel(ref label1). instead of this I want to find that label control in the ChangeLabel() method itself, may be by extracting that label control from control collection of FORM or something like this.
PLease help me.

Well you could use Application.OpenForms I suppose although I am not sure that would be considered a good design.

No, you're not. Windows applications and ASP.NET are two different things. You've asked in the forum that is specifically NOT ASP.NET. Try the ASP.NET forum.

Hello,
When I'm placing ReportViewer on a from and design a report.rdcl for it, a BindingSource object is automatically generated for me.
However' when I place the ReportViewer on a UserControl, the BindingSource object isn't created and no report is displayed.
Is it a problem in my logic/code or is it a known limitation ... any how, if you have any kind of suggestions ... I'll be more then happy to listen
Thanks in advance

You need to ensure you compare the input to the password using a case sensitive compare. As you haven't said what langauge you are using I can't really be more specific.

we r using c#.net
i send the userid n password to the server via xml string through webclient mechanism. there in the server it will check the userid n password then it send some strings like clientid,phno,email etc.. with userid n password.

So you're saying that you send the userId and password in plain text using a webService? and you store passwords in the database in plain text? It's not case-sensetive because the database does not have case comparison enabled by default (sql server). A better solution would be to hash the password string using SHA1 or MD5 algorithms and store this hash code in the database. This will make your system more secure and the passwords case sensetive.

If you do a basic string compare, it's case sensitive by default.

We are not using any database.
User can select files from local drive and upload files on to the form.
user can upload any type of files here(pdf,txt,rtf,jpg...etc).
All files need to show up on form each time user open's this form, so that he/she can append more files to it .
All files should be clickable and opens up in their format Ex:pdf, rtf txt.....

No, the user cannot upload files to the form.

Great, where are the files going then? Perhaps the Magic Kingdom[^]?

I think you need to consider that you got a good reply and ignored it. If there's no DB, where on earth do the files go ? Sounds to me like you're very lost.

Hi ,
I have a question. I need to know , in windows application how shud i add a FILE EDIT VIEW menu bar on the top. I dont know how to use menu strip and tool strip. please explain in detail.
Thanks

Well, I'm not sure why you think a forum reply is a good way to learn this. It's pretty intuitive tho, drag the menu on, click on the item area, type in an item name. I think there's even a shortcut to add common items
You need to buy a book

Hi
I am developing windows application. My task is whaqt ever form i develop it should get saved as a record in a table. If i save ten forms a table has to contain 10 records with the form names. This table is used by other user and when he clicks on any of the record in that table , that particular form should be displayed.
Please help me how to save a windows form as a record in the table

You can't save a form, but you can save it's state, either through serialisation or through your own settings. A form is a class, it should exist in your code, then you can save it's state.
