I have a project that I got from some developer that I am trying to debug.
Everything works expect that I need to step throught the working code of .ashx file.
Visua Studio 2008 debugger does not stop on breakpoint anywhere in this file.
I tried setting this file as a default start page.
Does not stop in this case either.
Any tricks to that? Any help? Thank you.

I am not sure ( as I don't have VS 2008 yet), but I have done it in VS2005. See if this[^] helps

OK so this turnes out to be some sort of glitch in debugger.
MyPage.ashx?blahblahblah=blahblahblah&/&14 does enter debugger.
MyPage.ashx?blahblahblah=blahblahblah&/& does not enter debugger.
Or some variation of it.
I can not give exact line but simce any slight variation of it work I'd say it is a glitch.
Thank you for help.

In your second example the you have & which is query string delimiter. May be it that is the issue?

If I upgrade a VS2005 website, or just view a VS2005 in 2008 without converting, code-behind pages reflect page/controls so that I can use the pull-down to select a page or control and then the declarations pull-down reflects the appropriate events for the selection on the left pull-down.
I created a new VS2008 website in verison 3.5 for Ajax. How do I get the page and other controls to appear in the VS2008 code behind interface?
Thanks, jb

First, you don't access a database with ASP.NET. ASP.NET is for creating web applications. ADO.NET is the part of .NET that is concerned with databases.
smady18 wrote: how can fetch record ... from database in random order
To return rows from a database in random order use something like ORDER BY NEWID() (assuming you are using SQL Server)
smady18 wrote: if i am select on option, how it can compare wuth correct option.
Presumably you know which is the correct option already. Check that the ID for the radio button group being returned matches the ID of the correct answer. (Of course, this assumes much about how you have designed your database)
smady18 wrote: on my email id...
No. If you want an answer it stays on the forum. That way everyone benefits.

View the source of your page to see the script that ASP.NET generates, and that you need to call.

I have a Web Form (VB) that a user can bring in data based on drop down boxes. If the data in the grid needs changed, then the user can click on the edit button for the row and make a change. The problem is, that the change is not reflected in the DB. I know that I am missing something somewhere.
This fills the Grid with the info that the user has selected:
Dim sql As String = "SELECT ID FROM TEST"
Dim da As New OleDbDataAdapter(Sql, Con)
Con.ConnectionString = connString
Con.Open()
da.Fill(ds, "Events")
GridView1.DataSource = ds
GridView1.DataBind()
count = ds.Tables("Events").Rows.Count
Con.Close()
This is the update that I am trying to use:
Dim sql As String
sql = "UPDATE TEST SET ID = @ID WHERE (ID=@ID)"
Using con As New OleDbConnection("Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=E:\WebSite1\App_Data\ODRT.mdb")
Using cmd As New OleDbCommand(sql, con)
cmd.CommandText = sql
cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@ID", ID)
con.Open()
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery()
con.Close()
GridView1.EditIndex = -1
DataBind()
End Using
End Using
Any Ideas???
Thanks,
Chilly

The value that is returned is "__Page" . It should be an assigned number.
