Can't invoke camera from imaging application

I have an imaging application that captures pictures and fingerprints into the database. When calling up the camera (Creative Live cam), I get this error:

< Creative Twain center > "error #01: initialization was unsuccessfull"

But it still calls up the finger print scanners (cross match tech). I have tried updating drivers, and uninstalling and re-installing camera drivers. How do I go about solving this?

Solution 1

You could start by telling us how you are 'calling up the camera', and if the error is a popup or an exception that is thrown.
