You can disable it with TouchPanelDisable[^] - but AFAIK there is no way to reenable it, short of a warm restart. There is a TouchPanelEnable[^] routine, but that requires the callback address of the handler, which if vendor specific, and you can't get...

It may be possible to do it via a message filter, but I haven;t tried it, so you are on your own!

Why do you want to cripple the device?

Really! The Touch panel driver is specific to the actual panel being used (understandably, it's hardware after all) so it is specific to the individual model of device in the same way that a graphics card driver is on a PC. So, to disable it is easy: dismount the handler via the TouchPanelDisable method. To re-enable it means you need the handler address to provide the callback, and without the manufacturer providing that via the API, you can't get it.
I assume that the disable is there so the device can be used for stand-alone applications, and the enable is used at startup.
