hello all,
i m hving a problem with CSpinButtonCtl object. It is attached to a RichEdit box. i m using a button to update the values from the rich edit box. the problem is whenever i click on the spin control arrows using mouse the values get updated properly. but whenever i use arrow keys the value shown in the text box is proper but after i update it is showing the old values itself. i hv clicked on the property use arrow keys. please help me as this is very urgent

I've just started to learn this high resolution multimedia timer. I have a question regarding to timeSetEvent function.

I want my timer to be TIME_PERIODIC (e.g. fuEvent=TIME_PERIODIC). I want to be able to specify: fire the timer at this particular timer
point t0, then repeatedly fire the timer after every n miliseconds.
Is there a way to make timeSetEvent do so? After setting time event, it should wait now.getmilisec() - t0.getmilisec() to be fired, then repeatedly fires the timer every n miliseconds.
The uDelay field seems to only provide the interval, not the actual time point to fire the timer.
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance for any help.

I can see that it is selecting the correct colour because the variable 'col' contains the right value at the right time.
But the text displayed is always the first colour, I must be missing something simple, any ideas what???

OK guys well im sorta finished with my final project but i cant get it to work CORRECTLY. The program is to have a menu and ask the user to choose betweetn add, subtract, mult and divide. when they choose whatever one it will ask them a simple question. and if they get the correct answer or wrong answer it will ask them again if they want another problem. If they choose yes then it will give em another problem but if they choose no it will go back to the menu. I cant seem when they enter no it keeps say "enter another seed vaule" I want it to go back to the menu. Well here is the code. O and if they enter anything besides Y or N i need it to say sorry that is an incorrect choice. Here is the code:

because one affects num1, and another affects num2.
num1 might be different of num2, but only if srand() if called...
why srand(seed) is not called after the cin...  sorry, don't know.

Hey Guys,
I create an empty out-of-process EXE COM which I exposed a HelloWorld interface to display a message box with "Hello".
and I create a client to connect to the COM object and use the interface to execute the message box.
The Client connects fine locally, but I'm having trouble connecting remotely, one the remote machine I'm getting error number 5.not sure what it means.
Any ideas, feedback or if someone has a working sample of this simple scenario I would appreciate it.

Hi all,
I am using blowfish algo for string encryption. but it fails to encrypt the plain text in some cases. To solve above problem,
For that i am writing a text in a some file opened in binary mode
and then again reading the buffer from file and sending this buffer to the
encryption function.
1.Is there a better way of doing the same ?
2.How can one convert a simple plain text into binary format?. Also how can i can combine the plain text and binary text?

Hi,
I have some controls in a groupbox, the only way I was able to view the tooltips was when the groupbow was invisible.
I put the groupbox as first control in my .rc file, bust still it didn't worked.
I also tried searching msdn, but couldn't find anything that could solev this.

The groupbox must come after the controls in the Z order and you must make sure that the group box itself does not have a tooltip associated with it.

In the dialog editor you can set the tab order, make the group boxes the last controls in the tab order.
In the rc file, place the group boxes at the bottom.
If you are using SetWindowPos() use HWND_TOP as the hWndInsertAfter parameter.

Hi all,
For a current project I need to extract the subject part of a base64 encoded certificate. My module gets the certificate directly as a base64 encoded string (containing -----BEGIN .... END CERTIFICATE -----, not the certificate file itself.
I've tried the standard libraries of MS (wincrypt.h), WSE 2.0 and openSSL (but because of lack of documentation openSSL is a pain in the ass) but none of these can create some kind of x509 certificate object or decrypt the certificate string. I also tried simply decoding the base64 string to a normals string but this just gives me nonsense.
Anybody has any hints?

Have to make an interface on VIsual Basic and all coding in VIsual C++ 6.0.
