Hello, I am currently working on a project, also, I am new to code project. Anyways, I have done HTML before, and I know that when a button is clicked in HTML, you can assign code to it, to have it connect to wherever you want. In MFC, I have three classes created. One is the ATM class (when the program is run, it starts here), the other two are the checking and savings class. When the ATM dialog comes up, there are two buttons, the checking and savings button. Basically  I want to make it so that when the savings button is clicked in the ATM dialog, it SWITCHES to the savings dialog. And the same with the checking button. ANY help would be greatly apprecited. Please.

Use the ClassWizard to associate an action with the click of the buttons.
It will make a stub function for eahc button, within the stub fucntion for each butotn, invoke the dialog you want.

I havent used MFC before, so I beg of you, could I please have step by step instructions?

It's got nothing to do with MFC, it's your IDE. I think if you click on the button in the desiginer, you'll get a drop down list along the menu bar, if you choose a message, it is added. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure that double clicking on the button in the designer will add it. If you're using VS.NET 2002 or 2003, the properties window ( right click and choose properties if you can't see one ) has a little lightning flash icon. This will list all messages possible to override via the IDE for the selected control. Find 'onclick' ( or 'click' maybe ) and in the text box, put a name for your message handler, and it will be added for you.

I'm by no means a top-of-the-line VC programmer. I asked a question yesterday about testing my skills and got a reply that the best way would be to do some work in finding and fixing a hard bug in a commercial app. So if anyone has an app that they're working on that has a bug they can't find, send me an e-mail and if you want, I'll reply so you can send me the source. I don't want any money (my name in the code or acknowledgement somewhere would be nice). If I'm able to do this it won't be top priority, as I do have an actual job that I also have to do. But in my spare time, I wouldn't mind trying to fix some stuff.

I really need help with this program :::
Write a program that prompts the user to enter two postive integers,and then tests whether the larger integer is exactly divisible by the smaller one. In the process,you'll need check that the input values are both valid(greater that zero),and then established which of them is the larger.

well, if you're really serious, that should be quite simple. However, that's not quite what I'm looking for. I'm a little more advanced than that

ok, so could you write please  the following function :
char* taylor (char* input_expr, char* expr_var, double order, unsigned long high);
which calculate the taylor development of a function and returns a string with the expression developed...

Well,well,well, TOXCCT... I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but I've never been to school for programming; I'm self-taught. BUT, I'm up to a challenge. I will try to do this although I don't know how long it's going to take. Is this just a challenge to me, or is this something you actually need? Just curious; I'll do it either way.

well, as I told you, I haven't been formally schooled, so I don't have a lot of math background, but I learn VERY quickly. I have just glanced over your article and find it to be very interesting, and intriguing. As soon as I'm finished with this post, I will be going to download the source to take a look at it at home over the weekend. However, I'm not very familiar with "taylor development" of functions. I've googled it and found some vague references to it, but nothing I could go off of that well, so far. But I also printed out a few things and will be looking at them also. I really want to see if I can do this, and hope I can get this figured out. Thanks for something to do!

none, except self satisfaction of having done a very hard mathematic job, and mine, for having helped me in such task...
and as you don't exactly know what taylor development is, here is a piece of help for you:
if n is the order , x0 the point, x, the variable of the expression, and f(x), the function to develop, the taylor development
T(f(x), x, x<sub>0</sub>, n) = sum( (((x - x<sub>0</sub>)<SUP>n</SUP>)/ i!)*f<SUP>(i)</SUP>(x<sub>0</sub>) ,i, 0, n) where sum(expr, i, 0, n) evaluate each value of expr for i from 0 to n, and the sum all.

Yeah, I'm kinda disappointed in myself. However, I did do some reasearch, and came to the conclusion that my math skills weren't up to par for that yet, so I would start teaching myself some more math stuff. I did buy some books to help, but I've been doing this very big FoxPro project since about that time, and it's been changed, re-changed, re-re-changed, etc. It's finally reached completion, and I'm about to change companies in 2 weeks, anyway. Plus, I didn't have a computer at home until a couple of weeks ago.
I haven't actually forgotten, and I think about it every time I see your name on one of the posts. I will still try to do it, otherwise I'll feel like I failed at something, which I hate. So yes, I have paused, but I still intend to complete the task.

don't mind man, it's not a big problem... actually, it would be very interresting to know how such mathematics are implemented, but i am far from this too anyway...
moreover, i'd like to add such a function to my VisualCalc, but as i didn't implement formal calculus yet, it's a far point too.
don't care, you didn't failed, i apreciate the help you proposed, and accept the fact that it is a very difficult point to implement, even for mathematicians i believe... (making maths, and implementing them make a big gap...).

Can anybody point me to an example or show me how to create a "Window Tiling Function" in an MDI application in MFC. I basically want the same functionality that you get when you do "Tile Windows Horizantally", "Cascade Windows" etc.

In your mdi, find out what function that id for the actual menu item is mapped to, then look at the mfc source.

Send a WM_MDITILE message and set wParam equal to MDITILE_HORIZONTAL.

When I run the code, the output is the following:

I can figure why the destructor is called 2 times, but why is it called the 3d time???
Multiply it by infinity and take it beyond eternity and you'll still have no idea about what I'm talking about.
