When you say very few developers think of the color blind, that is likely true, but it's not a conscious conspiracy against you.  Speaking for myself, I have heard only one thing about male color-blindness, that being red-green blindness. (So, for example, it's bad to use green for unvisited links, and red for visited links.)
Asking as a developer, what are the best colors to use? I see color fine, so I honestly have no idea what colors pose problems for color-blind folks.

didn't actually mean that their was a conspiracy, just that people don't think about it. Those who aren't colour blind rarely think or sometimes even know about it and those that are colour blind forget about it as it has generally blended in to the background.
Red / Green colour blindness is just the one that most hear about. Knew I was colour blind since I was a child as I would stuff up the colour by number books we had as kids. What I didn't know was I had problems with Red / Green until a medical for the Army show it up. Failed to differentiate between Red / Green / White lights shone on a wall about 7 metres away. They all looked the bloody same.
Anyway I have problems with the following colours -
Red / Green
Dark Green / Brown
Blue / Purple
Red / Brown (this is a problem with Snooker)
I also know of people who have problems with Pink / Grey. You don't even want to go into weird colours and varying shades with me as I get completely lost there.
Anyway, back to the original question, what are the best colour combinations ..... no bloody idea. Different things depending on the background, sometimes I have had problems reading whole pages because of this, I generally only know what doesn't work once I see it. I suppose if you steer clear of the combinations mentioned above you should stay out a trouble.

Wikipedia has a pretty good article on color blindness. Included are links to some applications like http://www.vischeck.com/ that can simulate various types of color blindness.

1. There is no such thing as 'add comments' to articles.
2. When we are going through the posts in discussion board (next msg, next...), a button/link to reach the main thread will be useful.

The format of the submitted articles is nice and pleasant but one thing I want to mention is that the text should be slightly pushed in (from both sides). The text is too close to the edges, which is little uncomfortable. The text should also be right justified on right side.

Hi,
As with codeguru, I tend to save articles and projects I like and review them when I have time. It would be nice to be able to download the entire page, graphics and included source and demos in just one link.
In the interim, for IE5 users I beleive, the SaveAs takes the TITLE from the page and uses that as the filename. Perhaps the name of the project could be used in the title tags ? This would save copying and pasting the project name as the saved filename for the page.
Yeah, I know.. I'am just lazy !!

It would be outstanding for you to require ALL submissions to have a "Documentation" subdirectory within the project zipfile that contains the html article along with any images. You could even do it as part of the posting process (I know, even more work)
This was a big pain for me at codeguru! I always had to save the article and all of the gifs and then rezip to have a nice reference project. The documentation should be an integral part of all projects. I know that I can't be alone in wanting this. It would be a most appreciated bonus to using your site too!
