Thanks - I'm working to try and keep it fairly lean and crisp.
As to writing about past experiences - well, I could write a whole book on that! It's certainly been an amazing year but I think I'll restrict my creative writing to code for the moment

1. There is no such thing as 'add comments' to articles.
2. When we are going through the posts in discussion board (next msg, next...), a button/link to reach the main thread will be useful.

The format of the submitted articles is nice and pleasant but one thing I want to mention is that the text should be slightly pushed in (from both sides). The text is too close to the edges, which is little uncomfortable. The text should also be right justified on right side.

Hi,
As with codeguru, I tend to save articles and projects I like and review them when I have time. It would be nice to be able to download the entire page, graphics and included source and demos in just one link.
In the interim, for IE5 users I beleive, the SaveAs takes the TITLE from the page and uses that as the filename. Perhaps the name of the project could be used in the title tags ? This would save copying and pasting the project name as the saved filename for the page.
Yeah, I know.. I'am just lazy !!

Chris,
It would be outstanding for you to require ALL submissions to have a "Documentation" subdirectory within the project zipfile that contains the html article along with any images. You could even do it as part of the posting process (I know, even more work) 
This was a big pain for me at codeguru! I always had to save the article and all of the gifs and then rezip to have a nice reference project. The documentation should be an integral part of all projects. I know that I can't be alone in wanting this. It would be a most appreciated bonus to using your site too!

I like the bulletin board section very much. Just wondering if there's anything you can do to help prevent spammers from getting addresses from it. I've had trouble in the past from that when posting to newsgroups or other bulletin boards.
Also, I'd love to see a section for links to other web sites that developers may want to recommend. It would be great to see links to tutorials, freeware/open source libraries, freeware programming tools, etc.
...And since you asked for suggestions, I have one more. It might be nice to have some kind of collaboration page for people trying to get programming projects started or keep them going. It would allow programmers to find out what projects are out there and who needs their help working on them.

What safeguard is there to prevent this site from being sold for a tidy profit once it's thriving ? As we all know this has happened elsewhere and at the very least we should learn from experience.
Please do not view this as a personal attack or a questioning of your integrity, as it is not intended to be, and I do not doubt your integrity. However, time and circumstances do have a way of changing people's views.
I think many potential contributers may find themselves somewhat reluctant to contribute for fear of a similar fate for this site at some time in the future.

I think that everybody has learned from the mistakes of the past. My aim is to make this site THE best pace to hang out, exchange ideas, and learn cool new stuff. After wanting my own site for a long time there is no way I would ever hand it over to someone who did not care about the site and the community in the same way I do.
Maybe after a few more years of no weekends and nights I may want to move on to other things - but I will do my utmost to ensure that the site retains it basic raison d’etre - that of being dedicated to helping developers, not advertisers executives.

Ah, to be so young and foolish.
