QuestionMultiport PCMCIA devices on XP???? Pin

I have a device that is that acts as Multiport Communications Port.
Windows XP does not remember the Multiport Communications Port. With Windows 2000, you will only have to go through the process of setting up the device as a Multiport Communications Port once. After that, you can take out the device and put it back in any time and it will remember to recognize the device as a Multiport Communications Port with the same settings. In Windows XP, you will have to install and setup the Multiport Communications Port every time you connect the device to the laptop. Mad |
This also includes every time the machine boots up with the card connected. Eek! |
Not only that, but Windows XP will also use a different COM port every time you install it because it thinks the previous COM port it was using is still in use. Dead | X| You can manually change the COM port back to its previous value in the Multiport Communications Port Properties.

How to work around this? Anybody knows? Confused |
