Hello everybody~
I got an ASP project and now trying to write a function to check "is there one or more checkbox have been checked", the function is something like:
function gfChkCheckBox(obj)
'do something to find out how many checkboxs have been checked.
...
end function
in ASP, when I call this function, like:
the problem is, if I click this botton when the checkbox object "form.chkTest" does not exist, IE always warning me that "Object does not support this attribute or method".I've tried isnull(), isempty(),isobject() or something like that in VBScript, but cannot avoid this error. I think this error was already taken placed when the object was sent as parameter.
Someone know how to judge if this object exists so I can't avoid the error?

If you're using Flash, just export the file to an HTML and copy the HTML it creates into your ASPX page. It should be something similar to this:

I have a ASP page the return a XML from another server (Weather Channel) cuz Flash don't allow get xml files from another site. For this reason I make this script

Works fine in Win2K, but when I need to used in WinNT4, it didn't works. I don't receive anything. I imagine that could be the XMLDOM object, cuz Microsoft.XMLDOM is MSXML4, and the WinNT4 server could have 3 or lower version. So I tried to change the object to Msxml2.DOMDocument, but it still don't work.
Someone know why??

I have the following regex inside a php function which I want to basically varify whether a zip code is actually a zip code and not a zip code with any funny (possibly harmful characters)
It doesn't work...what am I missing here....

Does anyone know if it is possible to add encripted scripts to the microsoft script control? I have some vbs files encripted with microsofts script encoder that I want to use, but the AddCode method always throws errors. Is there a way to add these files or is that control unable to decode the encription?
Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there,
I'm creating a document on the fly with the document.open() and document.close() methods. But before I display this page, I'd like to load an image into the cache with var i = new Image();. My question is, how can I make the code wait for the image to be loaded completely, before continuing with the next line?

As far as I know, you cannot do that. All you can do is to make an init function that loads the images that is triggered on the ONLOAD event of the BODY. Then do everything else after that function has been executed...

You could tell the system to wait, and execute another method after a specified delay. If you really wanted to get into it, you could use some JavaScript to determine the user's bandwidth and then use that to determine about how long it will take to load the image based on its size.
...but, that all sounds like a lot of hassle.

i face some problems to keep all cells with no
destruction,
so when i try to change the properties
of some cells such as : width or hight of any cell,
the prperties of other are changing also

Yea... when the property of the inner table increases beyond the containing cell... it obviously affests the outer property also... I am not sure about fising this problem

I'm a total newbie to regex...actually I use it all the time and just never bothered to learn it...but instead just find regex around the net and copy paste
Anyways...I need a regex for verifying a home mailing address...

At the very minimum I need to allow single white spaces..
Actually that's all I need....if you can show me how I would add the ability to check for whitespace too that would be great

For whitespace use \s
So you got one or more decimals: \d+
followed by a single whitespace \s
followed by one or more characters \w+
followed by a single whitespace \s
followed by one or more characters \w+
making this: \d+\s\w+\s\w+
There are some tools for building and testing regular expressions around the web. Perhaps you should try one.

I have a form in which there are numerous fields and when I handle those fields on the server side of things (prior to sending to a database) I typically use a PHP function addslashes() which escapes characters which may be harful to a SQL database. However without even calling addslashes() it appears IE is doing this for me??? I don't remember this happeneing in the past...is this a new feature in IE6???
I sent an email addy as an example using
nuweb1@hotm'ail.com
and echoing my email before securing it myself using any PHP
I get
nuweb1@hotm\'ail.com
Can anyone explain whats going on...should I still escape my input data before sending to a database?
When I do then I get something like:
nuweb1@hotm\\\'ail.com
Which requires me to call stripslashes() twice
I've since switched to just checking all email with a advanced regex and just don't let it through if it's wrong. However what should I do with message text's type fields??? Does the htmlentities function convert single quote chars into html entities as well...?
so ' would be $xxx; and so on...?
