hello, i'm making a multifunctional addressbook. But nobody would use it if you'd first have to type all of your email addresses and stuff from your addressbook to the program. So i need a way to extract the emailaddresses and possibly other data from the microsoft address book automatically( you know the one that outlook express uses too)

In my app i declare a pointer as a member variable(double *pTab;). This pointer will be used as a pointer on an array of double. In one of the member function, i want to do some calculation which do affectation like that:
for(i=1;i<=n;i++)
{
*(pTab+i)=Value_i;
}
I don't want that this function return value so i decide it will be type "void".
And now i want to use this function in another member method. So, if i call the first function, i would like to know if i will be able to get one of specific value of the array.
For example, could i just return the value *(pTab+i2)?

I have to computer connected use line directly without any hub and switch.
These computer all have 3c509-TX network adartpter. I set both 802.1p and flow control enabled in network setting.

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way to add a flat, coloured scroll bar instead of the default grey, 3D one to a TreeView/TreeCtrl ?
I've tried loads of things such as superclassing as well as trying to capture the WM_CTLCOLORBTN/WM_CTLCOLORSCROLLBAR message but all to not avail. The GetScrollBarCtrl method always returns NULL for this type of view as well.
I've even tried capturing the WM_HSCROLL event in OnHScroll but the value of the CScrollBar* parameter returned by this is always NULL so you can't get a handle to it for subclassing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Does anyone know if it is possible to copy and paste text AND PICTURES from IE to Word?
The HTML clipboard format seems to only support simple HTML markup without graphics, but it does not explicitly say this anywhere.

I want my app to support unicode.
There for I want to know the unicode structure.
Unicode characters are typed as short (2 * char).
My guess is...
that the short is the character number in the ascii table.
My friend's guess is...
that the 1st char is the table type,
and the 2nd char is the character number in the ascii table.
Can some please enlighten me ?

Hi
For the first 255 charachters the unicode codes matches the ansi table. Instead of having different tables with 255 charachters each unicode is one big table with roughly 65000 charachters covering the worlds all different languages and some special symbols aswell.

You could look in the Charachter Map in your accessories. Some fonts supports Unicode. I'm not sure but I think you have to have w2k to be able to see the Unicode charchters.

What is stack overflow? When I debug a program with iterative function. It said "Unhandled exception in Go.exe, 0xC00000FD: Stack Overflow". Who can tell me the reason. Did that mean my program ask for too many system resource?

Each time you call a function, some information (namely the parameters passed, the address of the return point, etc.) is stored on a memory area called the stack, whose name stems from the fact that it behaves like a stockpile of items, i.e. it is fed up and emptied from the top. The stack grows as the program goes deeper into functions calling other functions and shortens as these functions return. Now consider this function for computing the factorial of a number:
int factorial(int x)
{
if(x==0)return 1;
else return x*factorial(x-1);
}factorial() works fine as long as you call it with a positive argument, but what happens if you invoke factorial(-1)? The function calls itself again and again with arguments more and more negative, until the memory space reserved by the system for the stack fills up and the exception you report pops up.
What most probably happened to you is some kind of neverending recursive loop like this, though possibly in a more convoluted fashion.

Hi !!
i want to hook the File Directory system of my machine so that any File changes (like create,modify, rename etc) can be detected.
i am using FindFirstChangeNotificcation('Root Dir:\') to get the handles of all subdirectories inside the root. then using WaitForMultipleObjects() i wait for a change notification.
but this approach is not working fine. could someone suggest me a better approach. i can give further details.
PLZ HELP !!
