I have to convert Rich Text (rtf) code to HTML code so they can display on the internet explore...
In RTF code, there is \tab which is same as pressing Tab key to move/ jump to next 10 space from original in notepad\wordpad\or MSWord...
I mean... ( considering dot (.) as a space )

you can't call server side script from VBScript like this
what do you want to make ?
instead you can make a frame and write a script like this :
Frame1.Navigate "page1.asp?var1=X"
or use databinding if you use IE.

Hello,
I need some help with creating a word maker in Java. the user should be able to enter a list of words at least nine of them (3 x 3) grid will be formed and should be abl to grow.
an import button should be available to import a list of words from a text file into a world list which will be compared with the list of words in the grid.
a make grid button should be availabe to allow the user create the grid after the letters have been entered.
a make word button should also be available for the user to click and search for the words in the grid. the words can be found diagonally, horizontally and vertically.
if i could get some help on how to do this i'll be very greatful thanx.

you can access a history object with window.history
history object properties:
current<br />
length<br />
next<br />
previous
Methods:
back()<br />
forward()<br />
go()<br />
toString()
I haven't used it myself, but I think it's only for the active browser window.

Here is my problem from another forum I tried:
I tried IFRAME and it worked with a bit of fiddling, but I don't like the extra scroll bars it adds, and I think that it only works in IE...... though not sure.
I read in another post about server side includes, but I don't know any php, and wasn't sure if I should do it that way. I managed to load the page using Java Script like this

(I put another post about thisJ) However I have the problem with the file being over writing the menu, I tried changing to relative positioning with little luck.
What I want to do is have two columns side by side, one menu and on the right a dynamically loaded html page. I am writing some javascript to automatically generate a menu of links from the heading tags in my html page, that is the eventual aim. So that whatever page is loaded a set of hyperlinks will be put on the left. The idea is to save me time in making up a menu though it hasn't worked so far  .
BTW, is there a way to specify a fixed column width for one column, and have another expand to fill the rest of the screen cf frames??

You can disable the scroll bars of the IFRAME.
It works on Netscape 7.0 and on the latest version or Opera.
I cant see any reason why you are not using standard frames. Just find a beginners tutorial in HTML and you will be surprised that the FRAMESET tag is excactly what you need...

I am unclear as to what your question is, exactly. Is it an integration problem? Do you have a DHTML interface and want to add CSS (or the other way around)? Are you looking for ideas for using CSS?

Does anyone know of a method by which I can assign a specific file as content for an iframe? What I have in mind is a "thought for the day" based on a hard-copy diary of quotes. I have been able to do this inside VBScript, but not to transfer it to my html page.

However, I think I must put a scenario to all you good people:
Say I have a site on the subject of world history (not true, but near enough - very similar) and I want an "events of the day", including births, deaths, battles, coronations, .... Average daily insert +- 200 words. I have a file containing six months at a time: 744k., from which this has in the past been done (don't ask me how, but I have seen it - seems easy enough too).
My second aspect is that while I'm running through the year, I'll be translating into a second language and putting both on one page on my site (for the simple reason I'd like prospective translation clients to compare the quality of my work).
I can compile a variable by way of a string in the VB environ, but how to transfer that as VBS to my HTML page? (And I need to put the site up asap!)
