And now for something completely different: Jacob Collier. It's hard to classify him. Some would probably go for "Jazz", but more relevant would be, hugely talented, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and composer. I think this track gives a pretty good idea of what he's about:

Again, on my list because this (cheesy?) Lionel Richie track is transformed into something completely different. Crazy arrangement and harmonies that make me smile.

Two of my favorite covers were done by the band "The Infectious Grooves." On their second album they covered "Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin and "Fame" by David Bowie. Highly recommend if you like that kind of music.

For something completely different, try the album "Reggae Rocks - The Tide Is High." It is a collection of 32 rock songs covered by reggae bands. "I Can't Get No Satisfaction" played reggae-style is pretty interesting I think.

Collier is a freak. he is simply too good at [all of] music, and having no limitations means he goes too far in every direction at the same time.

Given the number of instruments he played in the video, he might be his generation's Dave Brubeck[^].

There's a story about Brubeck that he was once playing an outdoor concert, when in the middle of a song an airliner passed overhead. After the noise subsided, people realized he was still playing the song, but had inserted the chorus line from "Leavin' on a Jet Plane". The two songs, dramatically different ... and he melded them together in real time.

His musicianship, improvisation, and seemingly effortless transformation of a simple pop song says jazz to me. I liked it, and will look for more. Thanks for sharing.

Me too. I know I called it 'cheesy', but that wasn't a criticism. I love all types of music, (from Abba to Zappa) and a lot of my favourite tracks are upbeat. As Bob Marley said: "Don't Worry, Be Happy". Big Grin | :-D

Apparently a Windows 10 update has changed the behaviour of my File Explorer.

For some reason, it now INSISTS on grouping everything in my Download folder and sorting it by date.

No matter how often I change it to no sorting and sorted by filename, the way I've ALWAYS had it, and the way I prefer it, the next time I open the File Explorer, it's back to grouped again! Mad | :mad:

Anybody know how to stop this? Confused | :confused:

Thanks! I couldn't find the "Apply to folders" button for the Download folder. They had really hidden that well. Hope it works now (but with my previous Windows experiences, I'm not going to believe it until I see it) Thumbs Up | :thumbsup:

Nope, as I suspected. Doesn't work. I've tried saving the ungrouped view twice now, but the next time I open the File Explorer, it's grouped again...

The gods of Windows are too powerful for me! Sigh | :sigh:

I realise that you are probably trying to be funny, but it's a really stupid comment, and fyi: It's neither funny nor helpful in any way.

First of all, this is my work computer. I work for a living programming windows, so you see that changing OS is out of the question.

Second of all: Do you actually believe that there is ONE person out there at all who has read a comment like this and thought: Cool, I'll just reinstall my computer with a completely different OS?

When you're dealing with something that really pushes your patience, I can certainly understand how a well-intended joke isn't received too well. Smile | :)

I have that same thing on one system of mine where I can never get rid of the grouping in the Downloads folder. Why this one in particular, I still don't know, and all known methods I've ever run across don't fix the problem, or at least not permanently.

And it just so happens that as I just went back to that folder, on that system...grouping is gone. It might be back tomorrow for all I know.
