Has anyone else noticed that more and more of them seem to talk about "the customer".
So I wonder which of the two likely cases this is:
- It's homework and that's how it's described to them . . .
- They're a contractor . . .
". . . and they want us to do their work for them " is appendable to both.
It's almost refreshing to see someone who just seems honestly clueless.

Most of 'em, it's homework.
And I'm not sure it's "honestly clueless" so much as "too lazy to bother" in many cases. I suspect that various government attempts to get everybody coding by making it a compulsory course is getting us a lot of visitors who have no interest in development, or indeed learning anything at all.

To be fair I have recently come across one or two who are "honestly clueless". Either the teaching really is rubbish (probably) or they are just unable to understand the basics of programming (but think it's quick route to a well paid job).

Perhaps it's a clue!
They either all have the same instructor, or at least, study in the same school's English department (or all use the same book?).
Alternatively, they're all from the UK and really meant coustomer.
