It's how ASP.NET Web Forms goes about tracking client state from a server-side environment. The biggest problem with it, is that it can easily grow to be monolithic and slow. The example I just posted is not an exaggeration.

Pretty much, except it's a base64 encoded binary dump. It's pretty easy to decode[^] at least, but it can still get out of hand.

I got both "On Battery" & "Plugged In" option set to "Never sleep" but still my notebook goes to sleep completely within 2 hours of inactivity. Weird, Windows 8.1 here. Is there any other settings that might be overriding the power schemes?

We got a phone call from a client, and they said the error message read:
Houston, we have a problem!
We had to scan the code, and it said it should NEVER happen.

I always liked the one I got once that told me to call my IBM sales person to purchase more memory. It even helpfully included the 800 number. This was on the IBM 3090 -- my virtual machine had run out of memory.
That was also the OS that would issue syntax error on line YYY errors when you gave bad arguments to command line commands.
We can program with only 1's, but if all you've got are zeros, you've got nothing.
