Getting a little bit off-topic now  but personally, I wouldn't mind using a smartphone too. It's just that my rule is to replace hardware only when it gets broken, or cannot be fixed or upgraded. So here I am, with my six year old Nokia 6303 classic (great phone BTW because it's reliable and the battery still lasts at least three days given it's age and charge cycles). People around me maybe got five different models in the same time span, but just think about the environmental impact for a second.
OK - let's stop and have a nice day (hopefully). And I'm sorry for you because your Mrs insists. Tell her that it's best to leave people freedom in their choices, even in a relationship. I'd never tell my girlfriend what to do or use (she's just got a smartphone, she's even on Facebook although I don't like it).

Me too, back in the CTP days, but they (of course) eventually closed it down. As far as I remember, the explanation was that they're redesigning it and it'll work again in the future. Guess we'll have to wait until the future arrives then.

It certainly has some good stuff.
Too bad that good stuff makes it crash on regular basis.
For example, I can't write HTML with Knockout, some lines of code make VS2015 crash completely every time I try to type them. I've been working in Notepad++ and copy/pasting this code to VS (yes, that works).
Debugging was SLOW (which is an understatement). About a count to jump to the next line while debugging. That get's really very annoying (and unworkable) if you're locating a problem and simply have to step through your code.
Yet somehow (Windows updates I guess) the speed has improved and it crashes less regularly.
If Microsoft keeps this up VS2015 may actually become the best so far and I'll be using it for a good few years.

I totally agree with the jumping from line to line while debugging.
Its very annoying.
