That bug in the editor (which adds the article ID to the image links while editing, thus showing images correctly in preview but giving a broken image while publishing) is causing 4 out of 5 posts in moderation to be of "Format/Layout" problem type. Anyone working on that bug to fix it?

Those are fixed. From now on there shouldn't be a problem - though Sean is reporting that he's still seeing it. Of course I can't repro it on my machine.

I didn't type any line-breaks, and they don't show up under "Improve solution":

The line breaks seem to appear after every <code> block.
There, see? It's done it again.
We also seem to be getting extra line-breaks in <pre> blocks, but not in the preview:

It's possible you posted that comment while the article was in Pending status. After the article goes live the comments get wiped, which is by design because often in Pending articles the comments are about the pre-live version and do not apply to the final article.
