I think it would be more accurate to state that MS has decided Metro apps are the future, and the MFC, WinForms, and raw Win32 UI are all legacy interface tools. And after ignoring the C++ world for about a decade while building Winforms and WPF for .net, Metro is available for C++ apps.

Now if MS would only acknowledge that 95% of current Win7 boxes on the net will only be replaced with Win10 when the old machines are scrapped; and that making Win10 a free upgrade won't budge it more than a few percent. Unless the make a(nother) massive policy change and backport the W10 metro app in a window model to Win7/8 it will be a half dozenish years before most of us could seriously consider replacing our apps current UI with a Metro version. Sigh | :sigh:
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
