42 Questions, I passed with a 976 (needed 700 to pass).
I need to do 70-462 and 70-463 to get my MCSA cert. I still think certs are pointless, though.

Once you have a job then I agree. Experience outweighs any other issues when looking for a job. If you are just starting out though I think they are very useful to help show an employer that you know what you're doing.
However, businesses benefit from having a certain number of certified employees. It is one of the ways a company can earn points towards becoming a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

I worked for a company that maintained a staff of "certified" ghost developers in India (they didn't do any work for us, they were simply paid to be on the company's roster), just so the company could retain it's "Certified Partner" status.
It's bogus, and crts don't mean sh|t.
If you interview with me, bring a laptop with some code you actually wrote (applicable to the position being sought), and be prepared to explain/discuss it in detail.

Yeah, that's a good way to do interviews. I tend not to do that though, because a lot of people have confidentiality agreements that prevent them from sharing code.
I've interviewed enough people to be able to tell the people who BS and the ones who really get it....
I've also found even that education is not a good tell of how good a developer they are. In fact, the best one I ever worked with, he didn't have a college degree at all, only a HS diploma. But, he had tons of experience, and just "got it". And once he was in, he was everything I thought he was a developer.
On the flipside, I worked with another guy that had a MSCS, and was the biggest idiot ever (I didn't hire him, he was already there when I started). I could see from just talking to him that he didn't get it. As an example, he thought he should use C macros instead of functions, because they were "cool". Nevermind the fact that they were buggy as hell, and got chucked as soon as he left.

Ah, the kids today... 
Anyway, it's pretty easy to debug macros in Visual Studio - just switch to the Assembly view and you'll see the expanded C/C++ lines of code along with the machine code instructions.

Couldn't agree more. Once I got a voucher for an MS HTML5 cert. I tried it out to see if these questions do proof anything. I think I got them all right, but some questions were really dubious and basically none of the questions went deep into the matter. Therefore I concluded that looking for certs on the CV of an applicant is pointless.

Apparently not. I tried to replicate the case and space that was being used in each question. I had three questions that required typing/modifying a query.

nice article but as I was reading I was like dude this is not what people is learning, after the boom of everything in a Cloud people has learning that it's not good and they are learning to really use the Cloud Storing as it must be (please notice I'm not talking about Cloud Services, It's just storage)...
My as an old user of PC, as a person that lives in a place that is not 100% 24/7 online with insane amount of Bandwidth, have always know the importance of working Offline...
So, would I use Cloud Storage? yes, but not as the main and unique storage, that is kind of stupid for me, I use it as the Centralized Backup, I can backup everything but I will always use the local files (PC, Cell, Tablet, Console...) I don't want to:
- Lost usability due lost of connection or services temporally down
- Bandwidth, everybody in the cloud just to see a video, that is a waste of bandwidth.
- ISP issued due bandwidth or maximum quota dependency, the stupid mobile service providers in my Country wants to sell 25MB plans but they will add a quota of a maximum of 6GB monthly download, if you goes over the 6GB then your internet speed goes to 128Kb
In simple words having those Backups services are awesome, I'm sure I will not lost those important files anymore.
(Still don't understand how people buy cellphones with just 16Gb and no external SD card slot!!!!!)

Because the primary function is as a phone, but an all-inclusive-handheld computing device.

Yep. I have two apps: a WiFi signal analyser and a Cast-to-Chromecast app (so I can use the phone as a remote instead of my tablet)
On my tablet I have apps, music, books, video, ...
