Pretty much the same. I do use FxCop/CCM/CodeRush/etc. for checking code quality.

Not difficult at all actually. It's usually the best conversation I'll have on any given day.  Who else wants to hear about arrays that reference arrays and such nonsense?

The other week I was digging into some code I wrote four years ago and wondering why I had written it like I did. 
At least it shows that I've improved rather than become worse.

I've had that problem with code I wrote last week never mind last year.

That counts. I do the exact same thing. There have been times when I've looked at a piece of code I wrote some time ago and say to myself, "what the hell was I thinking???".
I wish my previous employers had code reviews. It would've helped out with a lot of poorly written junk we had.
My experience with code reviews have been the following:
1) No buy-in from software managers or other senior management, so no one takes them seriously. We just say "yeah, we did a full code review" and move on.
2) They don't know how to do them at all
3) If they're done at all, they end up being personal in nature so people stop doing them

Same here Griff - I suppose reviewing your own code doesn't count - but I do it anyway ( with some success ).
