So now we must be outraged that we never even heard of this titanic that sank only 3 years after the Titanic we know of!!! 
I must say they should indeed crucify and condemn everybody involved! They manage to sink a ship (named Titanic) 2X in only 3 years! SO how many did really die then?

There's much more tasteless jokes made about much more recent events. Unless anyone's on a first-name basis with someone who died nearly 100 years ago, frankly, I think people need to get over themselves.
But that's just me. I wasn't aware Titanic jokes were still taboo.

Good lord! It's been almost 100 years, and a near certainty that no one alive today ever met any of the passengers who went down with the ship. Time to get over it!!!

If you google on the first insulted person quoted in there you will find that they have invested quite a bit in promoting their relationship to one of those on the ship.
One of the ones that survived. One that was a male. One that was actually an owner and officer of the company that owned the Titanic. There were in fact a number of cartoons that depicted that specific person in a negative light after the crash.
