But that could be because I just moved out on my own (well a year or 2 ago) and that our future government (if we ever get one) will royally screw us over and increase tax again.
Seems after setting the world record for government negotiations, they want to go for the title of the country with the highest tax rate (again).

Still single at the moment, that's one tax I couldn't afford so... 
(of course since I'm changing jobs soon and that comes with a major pay raise I won't be able to use that excuse anymore  )

As a contractor my priorities are very different to when I was a permie, I think it would have been useful to see the trend split by this.

Personally I would feel a failure if I had more than 5 years under my belt and was still a contractor. At some point you have to get a full time job or start your own company or the stress of contracting will surely kill you.

Money comes first. On top of that the contacts I make at that time. Need an opportunity to make some influences with the decisions, and finally the freedom, may be work from home.
