You need to train yourself. I get out of bed and go and switch on the coffee machine. By the time I've checked the girls haven't escaped overnight, the waters hot and I can make a coffee. Unfortunately, my machine is brokened and I'm having to use my handpresso[^]; boiling water when still half asleep is not a good idea.

I already do the same.
In fact the 'very first coffee' was actually the 'very first coffe at office', since the real 'first one' (the one at home) just serves the purpose of keeping me alive.

As a Hungarian [by marriage] coffee rules. When I first went to Hungariaorszag, you had more chance of getting warmth from an ice-cube than of finding decent tea. As a result, I was converted to coffee, lots and strong, as my main day-time drink. I know it's not very English but, as they say in Winnipeg, who cares eh.
