No! If he wants to UPload a file, it's on the client, so the client is the right place to find out the size.

The JavaScript security model does not allow access to the client's file system, so there is no direct way. You can use either an ActiveX object  or a Java applet . Either way, you'll need the user's permission. Google for "javascript file size" and you'll find some discussions of the problem.

i have a javascript Photo Scroller in my page.But the script take some time to load.and the place on the page is empty until the script is loaded.I want to put in that place a " ...loading message" or a animated gif picture , until the script is full loaded.

I have an application that uses frames.
I am calling a method in parent frame as below.(below method is in child frame)

below is my function in parent Frame, and I am trying to open a new window but that is opening new page in child location
I am using below code , is ter any way so that I can track the URL it is trying to open.

window.open("Newpage.aspx");
//it is opening in http://localhost/Main/SUB/NewPage.aspx[^]
But I am expecting it will open in http://localhost/Main/NewPage.aspx[^]

Please suggest how Can i get the URl path it is trying to open, since window.location.href is giving differnt value.

Breaking it down;
Find ObjectA
Get Parent(Object B) of ObjectA
Get all Child objects (CollectionA) of ObjectB where they contain .textboxlist-bit-box-deletebutton
For each member (this) of CollectionA execute the click() method.
As for the exact syntax to MooTools, i'll pass, as haven't used it yet!

Nr 3. should be Prototype and not Protorype.
I wouldn't actually list Script.aculo.us as a framework of it's own right. The last time I saw and made us of it it was for effects and tightly knit with Prototype. Any pointers to the contrary are welcome.

Functionally, in this case, there is no real effective difference in their behaviour as far as the end result goes. Historically, eval has been a real resource hog because it would start up a new instance of the JS compiler (similarly, the same issue as setTimeout or setInterval), but newer JS compilers have become much better at caching the eval compilation so this overhead isn't as bad.
