That is entirely dependant on what you want to use as a basis for generating the number.
There are lots of different ways, from simple email to hardware checks.
The simplest is a email address, secret salt and a hash generator.
Search google, there are lots of examples for this. There are even components you can plug into your code to for you, including activation mechanisms etc.

You could trying randomizing alpha numerical characters based on a set of groups ie saved in an array, 3hsu7-8dm28-cne92 and save them to a list, then have another application randomly pick an element from that array and assign it to the application as well as the end user.

I think he may be in a lot of trouble, not having English as a first language is not usually a barrier, I often re-edit for clarity, and people can work around that, but rudeness is just unacceptable.

Hi, please clean your words. that looks very rude and shows you do not give importance to people who are there to help you here. This is not acceptable.
Second, Solution for you is:
Get data from DB into a DataReader/DataTable. Make use of a dynamic HTML Table and add HTMLTableRow and HTMLTableCells. Better still use asp:table rather than HTML table. Do some Google for syntax and code.
But, why reinvent wheel, when you can do something in neat way!

Do you want to download a file from a FTP-server, or copy a file in your LAN using the filesystem?
In the first case;
Is the remote PC an FTP server? Can you reach it with a tool like CuteFTP?
In the second case;
You'll need code to recursively copy folders and files.

Thanks for the reply , well i was trying to download file from a machine on the local network, Cute FTP even cannot access it. thanks i think so i got the answer , but anyhow is it possible that we user FTP on a network, what is proffered to copy files on a network , i used File Copy API at last.

FTP won't work unless the server you're copying from is running an FTP server.
If this is a local network, I doubt it's runnig FTP. You're more likely copying files from a shared folder on the server. To get at those, you simply have to supply the normal File copy method and supply either a mapped drive letter path to the source, or a UNC path.
