hi,

I am required to make some enhancements to existing UI of my web app VS2005.

It requires me to develop/design MSDN style re-sizable split panes (with treeView on LHS for navigation). see the demo url of msdn library is http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms123401.aspx.has anyone worked on something similar ? OR can anyone let me know how to proceed .. will be great help.

Does your web application use frames or divs? The solution really differs in both cases.

There's a very handy jQuery splitter[^] plugin that you might want to check out.

I was searching a sample code for twitter like login and at last i found also. it works fine in FireFox but when it runs in IE then alignment is not ok and also login image is not showing correctly. here is the url http://aext.net/example/twitterlogin/#. please check this in IE and tell me which area i need to rectigy in css as a result it will consistent in all browser... Please help me with css.

Doesn't have anything to do with ASP.NET. Web development forum will be the right place for this.

Actually, it he's only after the CSS then the CSS forum would be a better place. Lord knows it could use the traffic.

I want an image carousel similar to Amazon's product carousel in asp.net. when i will click on next or prev button the list of images will load from server after ajax call. if anyone knows about somethings similar then please let me know.

i am facing problem that i wanted to generate crystal report certificate
with asp.net and MS access

This is certified that Mr...........was our student and son/of Mr............. City.......... and his date of birth ..............

What is the problem?

This is just a regular report with detail fields, like name, city, date of birth etc.

Create the report in Crystal Designer, get the data from MS-Access and combine the two.

Search around in CodeProject and you will find many examples of how to use Crystal Reports with ASP.NET

First take a look at these

How to Connect to an Access Database with Crystal Reports[^]

How to use Crystal Reports with Access database in C#[^]

Finally you need this.(Which is important to your question)

Crystal Report-Display one record per page[^]

That's all.

BTW do changes in code based on your need. Also there are alternate ways for this. Let us know.

Table Control initiallization probelm.

Label component is inserted by using Table Component dynamic.

Atfer A function Table2.Rows.Count is 1.

But when i call B function which is called when i click other button , Table2.Rows.Count is 0.

I think that Table Component is initialization.

But i want to keep component.

What should i do?

If you are not calling A() in page load then call A() in other button click event so that you get Table2.Rows.Count to 1.

There could be two cases,
1. Either you are not calling method in proper places.
2. Not checking the Page.IsPostBack

Put a breakpoint, and try to checkout my above point.

This is a great video on localization http://www.asp.net/general/videos/how-do-i-create-a-multi-lingual-site-with-localization[^] it gives the simplest way to switch a UI between languages, and is very clear.

In visual studio, right click the aspx page you want to be the home page, then set as startup page. If that isn't sufficient then you can add this to your web.config, assuming you are hosted in IIS7

     <defaultDocument>
        <files>
          <add value="MyPage.aspx" />
        </files>
      </defaultDocument>
  </system.webServer>
</configuration>

Your icon needs to be 16x16 or 32x32 pixels. You can save it in the root directory as favicon.ico, or see This wikipedia entry[^] to specify a different file (with cross-browser compatibility information).

The browser caches the icon, and once it does it is relatively difficult to update, so be aware that the favicon you see might not be the current version.
