Yes I was working for VC++ last 4 year now they shift me on iPhone. Now Its a good medium to earn money.

I agree. Seems to me like that's already the main focus, and it just makes sense. With a lot of the daily computing we do being pushed to mobile devices (not that this is a bad thing, I love being able to work on spreadsheets, VPN into work, etc. from my Droid) of course they will be a large development platform. The fact that phones still don't have enormous amounts of storage and that there are still several competing platforms encourages cloud based storage and SAAS.

I am trying to bring myself to have a go at CUDA. But being a spare-time project, there is a bit of threshold. The NVDIA docs appear to make it fairly easy, but still... I will need to take a really deep breath before jumping in.
Any other other ideas for "CUDA for dummies" ?

I had the same problem. Because I never had experience in parallel programming and I completely agree with you about the CUDA programming documents. Few months back i bought these books: "CUDA with Examples" and "Programming Massively Parallel Processors", both books by NVIDIA family! I'm fairly happy with the first book but the second one will take you very much further. You still need to refer the Programming manual side-by-side.

well when i learned CUDA i just read the programming guide and the best practices guide each 2 times and then tried hands-on to modify the basic samples and see what happens.
i was also new to parallel programming, but the CUDA model is very nice
