you answered your own question. You can't use it, because .NET 2.0 doesn't have it. The end.

You can use the event that stores values into viewstate, it fires before page load.

Hello.

I made a bulletin board with only a textbox so writing something is possible.

but I would like to make writing part with Editor so users modify their writing by changing its characters's color or align etc..

any helps?

There are many existing open source implementations for it.
wysiwyg editor[^] is one of them and it is really nice.

Hi,

i want to display list of word which starts with the same alpha,while enter that word in textbox by using key press event.(its like google search,while enter a ,it give all search list below in text box)

That is a popup div. It's done with javascript, and there's probably a control for it in the ASP.NET AJAX library.

i'm getting few error on my AJAX enabled application when i'm uploading it to GoDaddy server. Its firsttime I'm using godaddy hosting.

I stored FirstName and LastName in two column in table...
I want to show them in a single column in gridview along with their email and other details.

You just need to bind both columns FirstName and LastName on a single gridview column using string concatenation

In you Select statement just do this..

Select FirstName + ' ' + LastName as [Name] from table

DO this from the SQL Side and let the grid display what is comming from SQL. Dont do your manipulation in the Grid.

you can write your sql like this:

select FullName=FisrtName+LastName from your_tableName

if your are using Access Database ,then it should be change:
select FisrtName+LastName from your_tableName

There are 2 sollutions :

- You can use ItemTemplate with TemplateColumn. It will be useful if you want to format the contents, and you need specific control for specific content.

- Going on SQL side, you can adjust the query itself to produce the firstname+lastname's combination, if you just want to display the information.
