I am designing an Urdu editor. Urdu language is written from right to left. I have implemented this by using rtb.SelectionAlignment = HorizontalAlignment.Right and using SendKeys.Send("{LEFT}") after every key user presses. I have not used the RightToLeft property of rtb because in that case the cursor remains at right side of rtb and as user presses keys the words move to left. Now I implemented justification using some code from net. I tried it on english editor, it works fine. But when I use it for my Urdu editor the cursor goes to left side of rtb and when I type smthg, words move to right side but cursor remains at left side. The code is here

I've been landed with an existing spreadsheet that has a data connection that is used to import some data when it opens. Then they run a macro to organize the data and a few other bits. All is working well.
Now I need to write a macro to save a copy of this workbook, but without the data connection and the macros.
Any pointers welcome!

So you just want to save the worksheet(s) data without any of the macros? Is that correct? And you want to do this with another macro or do you want to do this through .Net?

Assuming the data and the macros are in different worksheets you should be able to use worksheet saveas in a macro. Look into the options on saveas. I have not written VBA for 15+ years so I may be wrong but I used to record a macro and examining the content to see what MS did.

And what I want to build in is if someone enter something in the textbox and press enter it should hit the underlying code.
For this I need to use the textbox Keypress Event.

Can't test it in 2008 at the moment but you can just use the 'keydown' event.

Perhaps you should try to reinstall visual studio, because the KeyPress event has not been removed from vb.net / vs 2008 (I use it in several apps myself).
Or is your "searchtextbox" not a regular textbox?
My advice is free, and you may get what you paid for.

This is either an idiotic statement, or you're writing a website, in which case you should have asked in the ASP.NET forum, and in which case, it's always been the case that you can't handle a keypress event, or a keydown, or anything like that. It would, of course, be utterly retarded for a page to do postbacks every time you press a key.

You can't remove anything from a struct. You can create a new struct that contains only the members you want, and can initialise itself from an instance of a C++ struct, but I fail to understand why you'd bother.

Can any guide me to solve my problem.
i create a setup of outlook VSTO add-in. This setup is not working in Both Winodow XP and Vista.
So my friend suggest me that to write code in Outlook Share Add-In. I again create this share Add-in Setup
and try to run in both machine. But Unfortunately it is not working in XP. And working successful in Vista.
Can any one guide me which file needed to add in XP so my Share Add-in Work on XP also

I am not sure if this is the right location for the question but if not then apologies in advance.
We have a VB2005 web app that dynamically creates a report, renders it as a PDF and saves it to a local location on the server without displaying it to the user. We use rdlc files and the report designer in VS2005 NOT crystal reports. The web site uses ASP.NET 2, IIS7 and 2008. This web app works fine and is reliable. I would like to be able to create this same report and save it locally on the server via a web service call from a windows app. I have taken the code from the web page that performs the job now which does include a report viewer control and put it into a web service and when the local report object tries to add the report data source then it fails with a SOAP exception (null object reference).
I have provided a list of part of the code below. We use an xml file as the data source and load that into a dataset via LoadDDR call. CCA_DataTable1 exists in the local App_Code Folder.

I am facing a strange issue when sending a simple text mail with unicode characters.
This is the code which I am using

Till, this point everything looks fine but as soon as I try to specify the charset of the body, the bosy content get corrupted and strage charcters appear in the email.

You may try to reproduce this by copying code into a vbs file.
Anyone has a clue?

First this app is an intranet WebForms app.
I have displayed bond data in a datalist with additional textboxes in the datalist grid for data entry. I'm actually looking for a better solution than the one that is currently implemented.
Currnetly: textbox1 is txtQty, textbox2 is txtRate, label1 is lblTotal and button1 is btnCompute. The user enters data in txtQty and txtRate click on btnCompute thus invoke datalist_ItemCommand and retrieve the txtQty & txtRate using the .FindCommand for the current row, then compute the lblTotal and move to the next row. This subroutine gets access to "byval e as System.Web.UI.WebControls.DatalistItemEventArgs" which makes the current row available and life is great, except the dataentry operator has to click the compute button.
I would like to get rid of the button and set up the app to use the OnTextChange Event of the textbox. this is a problem because it uses "byval e as System.EventArgs" for its argument and the current datalist row is not available.
Can anybody show me how to get the current row of the datalist for the textbox that triggered the OnTextChange event?
