Hello Experts,
I have made setup of my project....the setup is complete,but upon running the exe i get an error to only one form of my project.....
The ERROR is.........
" The Workgroup information file is missing or opeaned exclusively by another user"
Please Help Me....

I suspect you are using access database and have only deployed the .mdb file - security is handled by another associated file, but I cannot remember what its extension is.

It's probably the System.mdw file he's missing.
Or some custom .mdw file.

How can I create Setup of vb.net window application to deploy it?

Select
New Project->Other Project Type-> Setup and Deployment->setup project.
when you click on setup project then it will show a new window
In this there are 3 folder
1 Application Folder
2 User's Desktop
3 User's Program file menu
Add your debug folder's file in Application folder
add your exe file both in desktop and program file
adding process will be done by right click on one of three folder.
remember when u are adding exe file on desktop and programm file folder then first u need to create shortcut of your exe file form application folder.
change the name of exe file and save in both desktop and program file folder
After copying all file go to Build menu and Build setup1
you will get ur setup1 folder

Hi all
I m facing a problem with creating Instance of Categories Interface.
I copy this code from MSDN and try to execute in vb.net application.
Dim instance As _Categories
Dim Name As String
Dim Color As Object
Dim ShortcutKey As Object
Dim returnValue As Category
returnValue = instance.Add(Name, Color, ShortcutKey)
But it is showing Error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

instance is not set to anything, that's why you get the error.
Try this code:

I would imagine your best bet then is to buy a book and learn more about VB. Passing in a project based on source code you got from the web is not only immoral, but you're bound to get caught out. You think your teachers don't know how to use google ?

Doubt it as any seriously done project of these said topics, the author isn't going to just give out the source code.

Nope, only if a considerable sum of money is paid up front 
So, probably best advise for you is to carefully plan out whatever topic you choose, and when you run into issues with the project, ask for help on a specific part of it.

Hello Every one,
I am want addition of listview text and display it in label
For eg:
There is one listview and there are 3 records in it (100,200,300)respectively.
now what i want is total of all these records and display it in lable1.text
total =100+200+300(This numeric values comes from database)
label1.text=total
and this should happen each time at listview mouse double click event
I stated below code in listview mouse double click event
Dim Tot As Integer = 0
For i As Integer = 0 To Me.lstview2.Items.Count - 1
Tot += CInt(Me.lstview2.SelectedItems(i).SubItems(i).Text)
Tot += CInt(Me.lstview2.SelectedItems(i).SubItems(i).Text)

Me.Label1.Text = Tot
but this only gives me position of the selected text
So how shall i approach please suggest...

Change your code to something like this:
Dim Tot As Integer = 0<br />
<br />
For i As Integer = 0 To Me.lstview2.Items.Count - 1<br />
Tot += CInt(Me.lstview2.Items(i).SubItems(1).Text)<br />
Next<br />
<br />
Me.Label1.Text = Tot
you may have to change then 1 in 'SubItems(1)' to the column where your numbers are stored.
