I honestly don't think this is possible. There's nothing on the query string when you send it, so I don't expect there will ever be a querystring on the response. I think you're barking up the wrong tree.

The only data on the URL, is the data you put there. This is the core issue here, which is why I said you're totally lost. What makes you think the URL will change when the data is posted back to you ?

Sounds like you are confused about request and response. You get query string only when you are getting a request. Assume you are writing a HTTP server and someone requesting to your program with query string, you will get it. In your case, you are the one who is requesting and you only get a response which won't have query strings. You will get the output of the URL you requested.
Or did I got your question wrong?

You got my question right. Now my problem is how do i get the data from the url? the winforms app has to read from the url whenever data is pushed there by a sender.

We're both saying the same thing. The URL will not change, so there will be no query string data. Have you run this through the debugger ? The URL does not change, between a request and a response, which is what your code does.

Thanks guys i get u but is there a different way i can use to achieve what i want to do please.
Ok a remote server will be posting data to the url for me to read. I have setup the url like http://www.myownserver.com/noticeboard
They will be pushing the data here for me to use. I dont know when the data will be available but i know the variables. 2 variables will be available for me, one for the sender and the other the text named "from","text".
Is there a way out. If its impossible then i think i have to go crazy now cos i really need to do this.
Is there any other way in vb that i can use or it is not possible in vb.net?

VB.NET has nothing to do with it. If you wrote the site, then push the data you want back, inside the page. Or better yet, ditch this rubbish and write a web service.

A remote user will request a URL with some query strings. Then the page will generate some data. Now you want to get this data in your windows application. You don't know what query string he used. You don't know when user is requesting that page.
Is that what you are trying to do? If yes, it is impossible.
All you can do is to persist the query strings used in a database or somewhere else. Your windows application can look this DB frequently to see any new data available. If new data is there, take the query strings and send a request to the URL for getting response.

Try Using VB.NET to Decode PDU string[^]
If that is no good for goodness sake use Google or Bing or something searching on sms to mobile vb.net generated a shedload of hits.

Now acting on instructions one by one.
I reached on the line

when I did this step then I got 'ok'.
But next 13 steps giving me error....
after line 13 (on that page)
it is written there
"To send SMS messages from an application, you have to write the source code for connecting to and sending AT commands to the mobile phone or GSM/GPRS modem, just like what a terminal program does. You can write the source code in C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, Delphi or other programming ."'
In this paragraph I didn't get the point( you have to write the source code for connecting to and sending AT commands to the mobile phone ).
To understand this I have googled again, but all in vain 
Now please help me .. After alot of search I did came here. So I am following the terms and conditions I think

Ok, so what don't you get? You have to write a program that communicates with your mobile device to send SMS messages. Do you know VB.Net? Are you sure you can handle a project of the size and complexity?

You didn't search very hard, did you?
There is an article here on CP that uses vb.net to send AT commands to a mobile. Since you know how to google, I'll leave it to you to find it for yourself.
If you do find it, and are unable to understand it, then I can only suggest that you speak to whoever set you this assignment, and ask to be given something else to do. I'd also consider something other than programming as a career if I were you.

Sir I have worked alot on C++ and .net2003
I am also doing a library management system project using RFID
and I think that one is the more complex 
Anyhow I can do this, I believe.
Sir I have not worked on VB.Net till now.But I believe that nobody there that knows swimming before diving into river
Sir kindly help me that from which link I can download setup of VB.Net??
I have searched but couldn't found.
And also give me some usefull reading papers regarding this project if possible..

VB.Net 2008 Express[^]
All .net languages are very much similar, if you have worked with .net extensively as you have claimed, you would be aware of VB.Net. Surely working with .net you have worked with Visual Studio...

Hi,
We have a number of VB6 applications and would like to start converting them to VB.NET. We also have some VB.NET applications and we do not quite understand the way the forms and controls on those behave.
In VB6 we might have 4 forms. Each form has controls and code. Let us use a Date Picker as an example. Assume Form2 has dtpStart on it.
The VB6 program starts with Sub Main then shows frmMain.
frmMain loads the other forms. Each form load does housekeeping.
Code in OTHER forms / modules may reference the dtpStart on Form2. And this all works fine.
If VB.Net the behavior seems to be totally different.
Usage of the dtpStart gets errors. It is also unclear if .text or .value should be used and when (we get errors on both).
Is there a good explanation of the different behaviors someplace?
Or can someone out there be willing to answer some direct questions on this.

You should use the value property as in (value = datetime type):
dateTimePicker1.Value = DateTime.Now.AddDays(10)
You should probably use properties to modify control values from form to form vs. accessing the controls directly.

Don't know much about VB6. In .Net, scope identifiers determine places from where you can access an object. For example, a public object can be accessed from anywhere in the application while a private can be accessed only within the class it is declared. If you need to access the control properties from other form, use properties or delegate(if you need to perform some action).
There is a difference between text and value property. Text will get the date in the format it is shown in the control as a string. Value would give you the date value regardless of the format it is displayed in the control.
