Well, you can't. Why would you be given the IP on the local network, when you're connecting over the internet ? I am not sure about the computer name, but I tried google and found this:

However, the long and the short of it is, you almost certainly can't do it.

I took a grid view and bounded it with some data source.......I added a hidden field and a link button.....in which hidden field storing primary key value of selected row....in RowCommand field i want to use this value as parameter to create a data source for the new grid view with a Join Query......is it possible.........if yes then plzzz give me a example

and i have the Following Code in the SelectedRowsChange event to get the Id of the selected Rows.

Now the code inside the Foreach does not run. What i want is to get the ID of the selected Row in the Grid.

In my application I am creating and renaming directories.For creating Directories I have used (System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory("F:\Dir1"))
But i face a problem in renaming the directories.Is there any way to rename directories.

hello everyone,

I want to save the .mdb file when i click download button in asp.net.When i click the download the .mdb file is saving in the server . I tried for save dialog box so that we can save the .mdb file at our own choice in the system. save dialog is working for only txt files ... but it is not working for .mdb file.Do anybody have the code for Save Dialog for .mdb using vb.net.

It helps if you post code, but I suspect this has to mean that you're writing a save dialog in your code behind, which obviously you should never do, because that's just not how ASP.NET works. If you do a Server.BinaryWrite of a file and set the header, they will get a download save as dialog.

Hi Friends,

AlternatingItemStyle BorderStyle="Dashed" in Datagrid is not working in IE,
but works fine in firefox..Most of the properties like "AlternatingItemStyle-BorderColor, AlternatingItemStyle-BorderStyle, AlternatingItemStyle-BorderWidth" are not working in IE..

You can not apply the border to alernate rows usaing AlternateItemStyle.

Grid View indirectly generates Table structure.

Whatever style you applied to AlternateItemStyle, it paste into inside <tr> tag. And you can not set the border using tr tag.

Now I want to bind 2 values i.e. I want to bind concatinate string. How Can I do this?

when i changed my authentication mode to forms and in login page when i write this code
FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(txtUserName.Text.Trim, False)
automatically the user information is saving my db where i used custom sql provider to save the values in my data base.and when that particular user login again the same settings are comming what he made in the previous login....
how can i work my project for windows authentication as like forms authentication
