You can remove like this way.
GridView.Columns.RemoveAt(<index>);
But, you should search google once before asking questions .

So you want to execute installation file in web Application or in Windows Application.
if you want to do it asp.net web application you can do it using Process Class. But "This will Execute File ONLY ON SERVER NOT IN THE CLIENT" .
So, before putting question like that you should clear about your requirements.
Thank you

I am using a Ajax Modal Popup control for displaying error messages. it is a simple panel with a lable and a button. I am setting the .Text option of the label = to the error message string version but when I show the popup the .Text of the label is not shown. The property is filed because I 've made a watch on it an it contains the error but it is not displayed. Can someone help please?

Are you using partial updates with AJAX? Just check whether the label control is inside the update panel and whether the trigger is set properly if update mode is set to conditional.

the button which is calling the popup is insid the update panel while the popup is outside the update panel. May be this is the cause? How can I solve it?
|
|
|
|
|
Do you set the text property of the label control on the button click event?

Yes. does that affect the update panel?

Please correct me if I got anything wrong.
You are doing two tasks on button submit. One is setting the text of the label control on server side. The second one is to show the modal popup on client side. If the second one is true, then you will never be able to set the text property of the label control because the server side code to set the text will never be executed.
If I got the right situation then I may suggest you to call the ModalPopup from code-behind so that you can also set the text of the label control in one go:
ModalPopupExtender1.Show();
Label1.Text = "Yeppi, blah, blah, blah";
But showing the modal popup on a server side event may not be a best case.
Check it and revert back to me in case of any confusion.

Hi....
Actually after login users can upload their resume and they can view it.
For doing this,
step1:when user is uploaded his/her resume,i saved it in server folder named "UserResumes" and at the same i took a copy of this resume and saved it as html file in same folder.
step2: I took a frame in my aspx page and given source.
like Frame["src"]="~/UserResumes/MyResume.htm"
Everything is working fine in local system.I am able to show preview of resume to users.
But the thing is when i hosted the application in EGCG serevr,it is giving following error.
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {000209FF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80040154.
Could you plz help me out.....................
Thanks,
ravikumar

Is Word on the server ? Which step creates the error ? What code is the issue, uploading, or viewing ?

Hi. Im using GoDaddy shared hosting and when I run my application(which works fine locally) I get the following error: "System.Security.SecurityException: Request for tyhe permission of type "System.Security.Permission.FileIOPermission etc etc failed".
The weird thing is that I am not using any IO at all, and even if I was I have contacted support before to allow it for another application(which still works fine and can write. I also tried enabling write permissions on the directory and it didnt help.
I went through my web.config file commenting out section by section and after counting out everything else it seems to be this that is causing the problem:
<.authentication mode="Forms"><br />
<.forms loginUrl="login.aspx"><./forms><br />
<./authentication><br />
<.membership defaultProvider="SqlProvider"><br />
<.providers><br />
<.add name="SqlProvider" (then my sql connection string) /><br />
<./providers>
I have also tried on a different web host and I also get an error(although I cant seem to get the details even when custom errors = no and debug=true).
Thanks :-/
p.s. sorry for the .'s above, nothing seems to be working for me today :-/

GoDaddy utterly, utterly sucks. Change providers if you can.
