I am facing a problem with crystal report preview in acrobat from the client's computer.
I have a webproject published on the server and
i am able to access required page from the client
but when i click on the print then i am getting a runtime error.
I tried to access the same project from the server from IIS but there also it gives me an error
"Error in File C:\DOCUME~1\FILE-S~1\ASPNET\LOCALS~1\Temp\AziziaSearchReport {90CA8B07-D69F-4614-87B4-15A6B50B1D3D}.rpt:
The request could not be submitted for background processing. "
The rpt is in the same folder as the project.i have put it in a separate folder in the project.
Acrobat is installed on the server and on the client machine.
The same goes if i try with PrintToPrinter Method.
teh code works fine from the source but trouble starts when i publish it on my server.Teh serve has XP Professional version and IIS installed in it.
Please help

does your website has the rights to acces that path that is given in the error?
Check for the rights of asp_Net user and of NetworkService- user.
In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

i checked for the users aspnet and network service .
While aspnet was existinf with full control permission .I added network service with full control.Still its giving error.
Do i have to change some thing in machine .config.I am not sure but someone suggested to me.still

when you set the right there is an extra button with a detailed view which rights are in the full control set. Chech these settings too!

Hello!
I have a problem with Web Site Administration Tool. I need it to configure my users and roles, but when I run it, it cannot find my MS SQL database, which is strange, because the ConnectionString seems to be fine, because all of my queries in the site are running fine...The message that I get from the Web Site Administration Tool when I click on Security is:
There is a problem with your selected data store. This can be caused by an invalid server name or credentials, or by insufficient permission. It can also be caused by the role manager feature not being enabled. Click the button below to be redirected to a page where you can choose a new data store.
The following message may help in diagnosing the problem: Unable to connect to SQL Server database.
I ran the asp_regsql.exe which created some tables in my database. Is there anything else that I should do, so that I can use The Web Administration Tool to configure the users?

On click of a button, i am doing several process, such as creating several files, creating reports etc. I want to display this progress to user
For example
If the file1 is creating, the status will have to show
Creation of file1 in progress...
Please let me know how this can be done.

AJAX, probably. You'd have to make AJAX calls constantly, and show your progress as new messages come back.

Use AJAX, place an update panel and keep changing text of a label based on the functionality you are doing.
Example, when executing code for creating file1....put label text as creating file1.
then afterwards when saving in database....put label text as saving data etc.

I do all that function in click of a button.
the code will be some thing like this
Generatereport();
GenerateFiles();
UpdateDatabase();
I created a scriptmanager and then a updatepanel and then added a label into the update panel.
then i changed the code like this
lbl1.Text="Updating reports";
Generatereport();
lbl1.Text="Updating Files";
GenerateFiles();
lbl1.Text="Updating Database";
UpdateDatabase();
This does not work, the code executes completely and the final label value is displayed.

i have datatable in which 2 row,1st column value is null
that column is datatype is DateTime.
wwhen i tried to add data to database..its gives me error as

I had developed an small website in visualstudio 2008
and I had problem in Deployment of that site..
steps:
1.I installed IIS server
2.registered asp.net
3.Created virtual directary and placed in that folder
It is working in One System with
URL:http://localhost/home.aspx
I want that site to be run in the LAN systems
I am using XPsp2
came out of hardwork

What is your problem exactly ? If it has to run on the LAN, just replace localhost with the name of the machine. You understand what 'localhost' means, right ?

Its means its working in the machine where you have deployed. Now Try to access it from other machine with the IP Address of the deployed system like http://192.192.192.192/home.aspx
Make sure that system should have the same LAN.

BTW : one question, you have wrote you have create the Virtual Directory, What is your Virtual Directory name? If you have the Virtual directory you should access it from http://localhost/<Virtual Directory>/Home.aspx Or you are redirecting your site from Root to any where?

Can any one tell me how to export the data from datatable to excel without using Microsoft.office.tools.....
and formating the cells in the excel like in one cell entering 2-3 values etc.
